Perthese Implants Information Please?
I think my surgeon will be using Perthese implants made by Perouse Plastie and although ive read one post relating to these, I am unable to see much more info on them other than that. Can anyone comment on them at all please? x

Re: Perthese Implants Information Please?
They're owned by Mentor who although we don't really see much use for them here in the UK (most commonly used are Allergan, Nagor and most recently the Furry Brazillians) are a very reputable company. Unlike Mentors Memory Gel they arent FDA approved, but this is no big deal, theyre still a good implant... They're a 3rd generation cohesive implant so will be 95% filled and softer than than the 4th generation highly cohesive implants such as the Allergan Soft Touch, the Nagor Impleo or the Furry Brazzilians which are all 100% and a little firmer, but with less risk of CC. Xx

Oh brilliant Cookie, I had a feeling you'd have an imput here lol, thank you!
FDA approved is more of an American thing isn't it? If they aren't approved, as you say, its no big deal. So can I be confident in my surgeons choice in this implant? Ive not read anything bad on them and even read a study that said how good they were basically, it was a study conducted in brazil.
I'm looking into the insights of the ladies from this site so all welcome to contribute please.
Thanks in advance. x

Re: Perthese Implants Information Please?
Yes, FDA is in America. Some women just like having that reassurance of the FDA approval that's all. Nagor implants aren't FDA approved but are one the best implants out there.
They're a good implant lovely and if these are your choice then you've nothing to worry about. Xx

Thanks Cookie, that's reassuring to know. I never even looked into implant brands before I read a post saying that we need to know the implant as well which sounds simply enough but it didn't even cross my mind. So now that I have found out what he intends to use, I am happy that they are good implants and will hopefully serve me well.
Thanks again for your help and advice in the past and future posts. x
