Re: August Buddies
Good luck!! I'm at Dolan park tomorrow at 11. The nerves are starting to kick in now. Crispy bacon, I had a peek at your pictures and there looking good, bet your really pleased with them? Do you think it's best to take your surgeons advice? As he thinks 410cc but I'm not 100 percent sure n maybe think 385. I'm so indecisive. I'm getting worried about the pain, does it hurt? I've had two babies, one weighed a whopping 10lb 13oz so I'm hoping it will seem a doddle lol xx

Thanks. I'm hoping it won't be that painful. I think that once you've had a baby nothing really seems painful lol xxx

Re: August Buddies
Good luck girls! I think go with what your surgeon thinks chick :) I was still panicking about size on the morning and on the drive up I was even thinking...right I am yeah I am gonna ask him to go one size smaller! Then I'd be like no no I absolutely am going to go with the 410's and trust the surgeon - and go back round in a big circle until I just thought oh for goodness sake I'm just going to trust my surgeon and go with what he says! Which I am really really pleased I did ;) pain wise huN it really doesn't hurt as much as you imagine - if you've had babies it almost feels like when your milk comes in - and a bit like mastitis with the burning feeling - but as soon as you take your pain killers it goes - so it's completely controllable. I'm on day 3 now and I've only had pain killers at midday and won't be taking any more tonight I don't think - and believe me I'm not one to deny myself pain killers if I'm in pain! I think you'll be really surprised at how easy it is. Just make sure you stay in your bed for 3 days and get someone to run around after you and then healing will be all good :)
And a,so make sure your pillow mountain and travel pillow (bean bag one not inflatable) is all ready for sleeping on your back as I've slept like a baby all big and I think that's the main healing time.
The only other annoying bit are the sticky bandages as they get itchy but maybe your surgeon won't apply them as that's at their discretion.
I did actually get dressed and pop to the the pub today for an hour - but that wiped me out and I came home and slept for 3 hours straight!
Here's hoping tomorrow with hubs at work and me home with the kids will be ok!
Wish me luck! Xx

Re: August Buddies
Ooh sorry but top tip! Remember to get yourself some round neck loose t shirts of tops that cover you up to your neck - because if your surgeon bandages you like he has me then they're visible just under your sternum (where your collar bone meets in the middle of your throat)
I didn't think of this and I'll need to go shopping tomorrow to grab some cheapies from primark for school run etc xx

Re: August Buddies
Oh do they say day 3's worst? Erm I wouldn't say worst definite,y changes in the fact that I don't have any achey feeling at all in the boobs - no pain killers required - but I do have headache and this weird numbness in my lips as if I've been to the dentist for a local anaesthetic or something and its wearing off - worrying me a bit so gonna call the number they've left me x
