Re: August Buddies
Sorry pressed send accidentally.
I'm going to stay with my parents for a few days afterwards with kids and dog which will be a great help as my partner doesn't live with me. Was cooking dinner last night lifting pots and pans and thinking "at least I'll have help with this!!"

Re: August Buddies
Yay x glad you finally got some Katie. That's about what I paid from wilkinsons. I bet they're the same cos mine can be used hot too. I thought it was quite a good idea getting a large one to either lay it across or use both to wrap them round :-) xx

Re: August Buddies
Yh I'm glad I got the big ones :)
I've just had my pre op on the phone with the nurse I asked if she could tell me my admission time, I've got to be at the hospital at 8am and I'm the first one down. It's sinking in now lol xxx

Re: August Buddies
I was trying not to use my v pillow early but I couldn't resist slept with it last night was lovely lol.
I didn't have a actual pre op mine was done over the phone with a nurse. She went through my medical questionnaire with me asked me my height and weight double checked for allergies. I think if you go in to have one its the same from what I've read on here might have bloods taken, blood pressure and possibly some swabs for MRSA.
Let us know how you get on! Xxx

Re: August Buddies
Hi hun,
The pre op is very straight forward, just questions about your health, any previous problems etc, then blood pressure, temperature, height, weight and swabs for MRSA.
No bloods unless they have a reason to take some, eg if you have had any previous medical history that could make you prone to bleeding or needing it etc.
They didn't take mine but I would of rather they did my bloods just incase as I am blood type B rhs neg, so worry that if something does go wrong they won't have my blood in. xx
I'm just a worrier anyway though! xx

Re: August Buddies
Aw ok thanks. Nothing to worry about then :-) aw yeah that's understandable that you feel a bit worried about the bloods. I'm sure if they thought it was a problem they would have addressed it. Do they know your blood type? If you feel extra worried maybe ring the hospital and express how you feel! xxxxx

Re: August Buddies
Yeah its very straight forward hunni.
I have been in contact with my clinic and told them my blood type, just incase! lol.
Silly isn't it, i'm sure they are prepared for any situation.
Not long for you now either, 11 days, yay!
My ticker can't count down quick enough for me!

Going for my last gym session tonight before my op :( going to miss going, my surgeon said depending on my one week check I can do very light lower body exercise at two weeks but nothing to make me breathless so prob just a bit of gentle cycling or walking xx
