Oh the pain!!!!
Hi all,
Now I know it's very early days ? I had my revision surgery yesterday but to anyone who has had an op for cc, am I suppose to be in this much pain?
I understand this op isn't like the first but this time around I have had to take a lot of pain relief and need a lot of help unlike my original op.
when will the pain ease? :0( I want to cry.
Thanks for listening to my moaning.
Xx

Re: Oh the pain!!!!
You will have had a capsulectomy hun, so not a standard straight forward swop of implants. You've been throu a very invasive surgery babe and its expected to be more uncomfortable than the first time around.
Don't worry though... It DOES ease up. I'll be honest babe. Normally it takes just over a week to get over have a BA and straight forward re-ops are normally faster healing than, but the capsulectomy floored me babe and it took 2 weeks for me to get over that.
The pain IS manageable though hun. Just keep up with the pain meds and ice packs and you'll be fine. Xx

Re: Oh the pain!!!!
Thank you Hun. I feel like the implant wants to fall out. I thought it would ache but this isn't nice at all.
Do you know if it's best to wear a tighter bra? Mine feels a little loose. The surgeon said to rest as the implant needs to settle in and a shell needs to form. I'm just hoping the ache subsides soon.
Thanks so much for your help cookie, your such a star.

Re: Oh the pain!!!!
A new capsule needs to form now around the implant babe and the more stability you give the breast the better babe, so yes... A bra that fits nice and snug giving good support is what you need and will probably help to make you feel a lot more comfortable too Jen. Xx
Re: Oh the pain!!!!
Just wanted to send big hugs your way, hope it eases soon. xx

You're very welcome Jen. Hopefully you'll find a lot less discomfort now you're in a bra that offers the support you need babe.
You take it easy now hun. I know how much that surgery wipes you out xx

Re: Oh the pain!!!!
I feel for you Jen . I had c c when I had my pips and had a capsulectomy when pips were replaced and like our lovely Cookie it knocked me for six. It took at least 2 weeks before I started to feel better where as the original op I was good and back to work within the week. It a much more invasive op but luckily my surgeon warned me before hand otherwise I may well have been worried. Just take it as easy as you can and listen to your body. Good luck with your healing xxxx

Re: Oh the pain!!!!
Thank you ladies.
The surgeon has said to rest for two weeks. Yesterday I was Full if morphine so didn't really feel a lot. Now it is on fire, just wish I had prepared more. Fingers crossed I can get a back dated sick note. I have taken a week off however now I know I need longer.
Thanks for all your kind words an advice, it's cheering me up.

Hi Jen,
Just checking in to see how you're doing. It's been nearly a month since your op so I hope the pain has subsided and you're recovering well xx

Re: Oh the pain!!!!
Hey Hun,
I haven't been on here for a while as I went back to work and really haven't stopped.
The pain subsided after a week and I'm back to normal now :0) just waiting to hit the 6 week mark so I can return to te gym :0)
Fingers crosse the dreaded cc won't return but If it does then so be it. Trying to still rest up and not do to much, hoping this will be enough.
How r u? I see you had your op 3 days ago? How r u feeling?
Xx

Re: Oh the pain!!!!
Hi Jen,
So glad to read you're back to normal and able to get on with work, that's great!! I highly doubt the CC will return, just take it easy and look after yourself, you've been through a lot!
I'm doing well hun. Yesterday was difficult but I think the worst of it is over and I'm going to attempt going for a walk today. Just taking it easy and trying not to do too much. I've got a 3 hour drive tomorrow (as a passenger!) so once that hurdles over I'll feel loads better!! xx
