• British Medical Association
• British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and

• British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons
(BAAPS)
• Association of Breast Surgery (ABS)
• Mr Hassan is on the Specialist Regist

Re: Uplift and BA
Looks like much better qualifications there babe, to be a member of BAAPS/BAPRAS the surgeon must have a FRCS qualification which is the highest they can get hun.
They may try to dissuade you Sophia, but its your right to change your mind if you want to. Just tell them that Mr Hassan is the surgeon you want and if you can't have him you're going to take your business elsewhere. Stand firm and be insistent babe and you WILL get what you want. Larger clinics are renowned for trying to manipulate patients to see surgeons of their choice to fill their surgery date rather than the patients own. So stick to your guns hun. Don't let them talk you around. This is what you want so be sure they give you that. Xx

Re: Uplift and BA
I agree Sophia and do hope all goes well for you. Also don't let them tell you that being a BAAPS member doesn't matter. They may say that so as not to undermine their other surgeons, so take every excuse they say with a pinch of salt lovely.
Please let us know how you get on. Xx

Re: Uplift and BA
So I'm not switching I'm happy I made a good choice after more research found out the baprs thing only uk surgeons can register as he's Italian he can't be a member , he is the best in the uk and I'm convinced now I'm funny not ask anything else on him as I'm happy and I rang pc of informed me if any problems occurred after surgery that needin touching up I would be covered and not have to pay anything further and she also added she wouldn't recommended anyone else as he is the best and I'm in really safe hands and asked me if I wanted to see him again to just have a chat with him etc but I'm happy now I feel better xx

Where did you get that information from Sophia?
That's simply not true hun and whoever told you that is telling you lies....im thinking it was the PCC at the clinic?
I did warn you they say ANYTHING to manipulate your decision lovely.
ANY surgeon can apply to be a BAAPS/BAPRAS member no matter what their ethnic origin is. Mr Russo doesn't have hold FRCS qualification and therefore is not eligible to apply because he's not qualified to hun.
Quote from BAAPS
A founding principle of the Association remains the education of the public about cosmetic/aesthetic surgery and, particularly, the benefits and risks of procedures. Whilst all Plastic Surgeons are examined at a baseline level of cosmetic surgery in the FRCS (Plast.) exam, to become a member of BAAPS surgeons need to fulfill a number of other criteria. Applications are scrutinized by the Council of BAAPS and then voted on by the membership at the Annual General Meeting. BAAPS demands that its members act both ethically and with probity; membership can be removed after due process if there is evidence of continued failure to act in a manner becoming of a member

Mr Russo is a far cry from being the best in UK hun. I'm not saying he's bad, but he's most definitely NOT the best.
If you're happy with him though he most certainly IS the best for YOU. Xxx

Re: Uplift and BA
She WAS lying to you babe
These women are SALES WOMEN they hold no medical qualifications and probably know as much about a surgeons qualifications as a newbie starting out researching would hun.
They will manipulate you to come around to their thinking, saying anything regardless of it being truth or not to ensure you don't disrupt the lists... Don't listen to a word they say babe. Do your own research. You can freely Email BAAPS yourself if you like to confirm what I've told you babe. Xx

Re: Uplift and BA
That is total rubbish.. my surgeon is from Singapore and did her initial medical training over there before doing specialist training both in the UK and the US. She is NOT british and she is registered with both BAAPS and BAPRAS.

Re: Uplift and BA
Other surgeons may be booked up so they make the surgeons available a priority, so they will push those surgeons forward to fill their diarys for them. Xx
Re: Uplift and BA
Originally I got offered Russo or hassan for consultations maybe days ether come to my area and she did say I can switch if I wish to so seems silly her lying and still offering another surgeon x

Re: Uplift and BA
There was a reason she 'lied' lovely. What that reason was we don't know for sure... But they are renowned for doing this as you've seen for yourself in this instance. Xx

Re: Uplift and BA
I know it's really bad . Well going to stick with him I've watched some videos of him performing a breast uplift and the results were really good so I'm happy and I watched videos of him doing implants which looked really good two so I'm a lot calmer now and going to stick with him I saw quite a few surgeons and didn't feel comfortable with any of them and just felt like another meat in a processing like I'm also goin to have a consultation with Hol day befor op to have a chat x
