My pre-op and sizing appointment :-)
thought I post pre-op yesterday.......finally it feels like I am having my BA! Had my pre op at BMI Three Shires, was very impressed with the staff. Took my mum along for her own piece of mind!!!!
Was probably in there for about an hour, so it was definitely a thorough pre-op. Had height/weight taken, blood taken for blood count and to test for sickle cell (they only do this if you are Caribbean/Mediterranean origin), MRSA swabs in my nostrils and groin, urine test AND an ECG.....Then got measured for my stockings. The nurses went through so much with me and really put me at ease!
I then went across the the Gatehouse clinic where Aurora is based (it's within the same grounds as Three Shires) and had an hour long sizing appointment with Aggie, Adrian Richards' theatre nurse......again, fab! This woman really knows her stuff (she was the head of theatre at BMI Three Shires until she left to work with Mr Richards).
After going through ALOT of implants I have ordered 3 lots......Nagor high profile 390cc, Allergan TRX High profile 400cc and (just in case on the day I feel like I should be a bit more conservative!) Nagor moderate profile 360cc. Not sure which too choose, Nagor seem a bit softer though.
Feel so confident about everything now.....Aggie even took my mum's number and said she will text her as soon as I am done in surgery so she know's I'm ok!

So nice to read you coming away from your pre-op feeling so confident and happy hun. I've done the squidge test of all implants now and I have to say, Nagor are my fav too. I want those as well when my implants need changing xx
Re: My pre-op and sizing appointment :-)
Thanks Cookie! I know, the Nagor definitely do feel squidgier, and I want my boobs to be soft so I'll probably go with them, I just hope the high profile isn't too much but I don't think the moderates will give me the look I want.....I ordered the mods just in case! xx

Re: My pre-op and sizing appointment :-)
Oh, and g0902 - I think my clinic carries out these tests as standard aart from the ECG and the sickle cell blood test. I only had the ECG as I mentioned to the nurse that I get chest pain sometimes (I suffer from anxiety sometimes which can trigger it), as soon as I told her she though it was best for me to have one. The sickle cell blood test they will only run on people of carribbean/medditeranean origin. I obviously don't have sickle cell but I could carry the gene and if I do they will have to change the type of anesthesia they use on me.
