2nd sizing appointment
I have my second sizing appointment booked for next tuesday because i simply can't stop worrying that i am going either too small or too big. I have narrowed it down to around the 300cc mark. I had initially said the 280cc but now im worrying that i should go a little bigger...? I want to be a full C cup..
I dont know if i would be more annoyed spending the money for them to be too small, or more annoyed that they would be too big on my frame :(
decisions decisions! xxx

Re: 2nd sizing appointment
I was a 30A and I had 315cc for my first BA, it took me to a DD. My BWD is around 11 and I'm 7st 3. You'll probably be more like a D cup with either of those implants x

Re: 2nd sizing appointment
Hi Hun, I think you should ask your surgeons advice as it really does come down to your frame. I was an AA cup have had 360 and am now a DD. But others on this site have had under 300 and ended up a DD too due to having a smaller frame than me. I have also noticed that a lot of girls have ended up measuring bigger than they asked for but all seem to be happy with that. I for example asked for a full c / small d. I love my size but any bigger and I don't think it would look natural on my frame. I was a b cup after my first ba and happy with that for 13 years as could make look big when I wanted!! You are welcome to see my pics if it helps X

Re: 2nd sizing appointment
Hi Redtulip,
I had an appointment about a month ago for sizing and he thought anything in that region of 300cc would be fine. Hes VERY quiet but i know hes a fab surgeon.. he likes the opinion to be down to the patient. I was so nervous last time.. but this time im going to squeeze the information out of him haha and make sure i get his opinion. After all i am paying for HIS expertise. I would love to see your pics if you dont mind? would be brilliant :-)
I have a very small frame - 7st5, 5"6/7 and a 32aa/a. my biggest concern is the fact that im having unders so its hard to judge the sizers because i know ill loose some of the size.
ps. 13 years out of ur first BA was pretty good going!! money well spent :) xxx

Yes very pleased with my 13 years and second time round has been pretty easy too.
Will send you my details. X

Re: 2nd sizing appointment
My surgeon's opinion was 'if it'll fit, then go bigger'. I was set on a smaller implant but I'd have been gutted if I had gone for it. Plus, they look a lot smaller in everyday clothing, so there's that to consider too. Ask your surgeon, and see what he advises.
Re: 2nd sizing appointment
I'm 5ft 6 8st 11 my BWD is 11.5 I had 325 anatomicals and 3 weeks ago I measured a 30/32 F! I had the biggest implant I could, I don't think they look too big, but I can make them look big in certain clothes x

Re: 2nd sizing appointment
Redtulip - your boobs look AMAZING. pre and post op.. cant believe how good your first ba implants looked after 13 years.. They look like a great size!!
Roxychick - I am definitely going to ask as many questions as possible about size. I have exams coming up and then my BA is a week after they finish... so have to get the whole sizing business sorted sooner rather than later :) What size did you go for? :) x
Lisa - quite similar stats, i remember seeing your pics and yours do look brilliant! Did you think you lost any of the size with having unders? xx

Re: 2nd sizing appointment
I'm very much of the opinion that biggest is not always best and our perceptions of cup sizes has a MASSIVE impact on how we may feel about our boobs post-op.
Forget how other women feel about their boobs - its YOUR boobs you want and need to focus on. Take pictures with you to your fitting of the size you'd like to be and wear a white T-shirt. This will give you the best idea of what is right for YOU.
Its such an important decision to make and some women feel their boobs are smaller in clothes, others like myself, don't. But then I think after so much research I have a much clearer perception of boob sizes than I did when I first started out on my BA journey, so you will read mixed reviews on how we all feel
Take your time. Don't rush. Focus on the 'look' rather than the 'size' using the pictures you can take with you that you like - mens mags such as Nuts are a good place to look or you could take a look at the before and after pics we have in some links in a sticky in the General Breast Augmenation section of the forum. Look for women also with the same body frame as yourself. This too will help to get a better idea of what may be realistically possible for YOUR body frame. Then when wearing the white T-shirt, between yourself and your surgeon you can gauge how much volume you 'and' your surgeon feel you need to help you achieve the 'look' YOU want. Xx

Hi Cookie, thank you for taking the time to reply and every word of your post means a lot. I will take all of your advice on board. I am going to look up some images and bring them along on tues as im very conscious of the fact that a C cup to me could mean something entirely different to my surgeon. I also have my mum coming with me, which is great for an extra opinion - she went through the whole process with my sis :)
I looked on one of the thread of postop/preop sizes and found a few girls with very similar stats to me with similar sized cc's but i guess its all down to my own body. Would a 300cc anatomical and a 300cc round be the same? My sister is very similar body shape to me.. she had around a 250/260cc round.. but im having the anatomicals. Hers look fab, but wouldnt mind a little bigger xx

Re: 2nd sizing appointment
I don't think I lost any size, I know they say with unders you lose about 10%. Personally I think they look a little bigger than the sizers. But we are all different, so what size imant may give you a D cup might give the next woman a C cup or an E cup!

Forget other women's sizes hun. We each have an anatomy that is unique to ourselves, this will also include that between yourself and your sister. So even those with the exact same stats as yourself and the exact same implant size as yourself could walk away with completely different sizes. You'll find if you look at the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] that for those with same stats and the same volume the resulting sizes vary greatly.
This is because although you may share the same stats as another woman chances are you'll have more/less breast tissue than her, you may have more/less overall body fat, your breasts may sit differently, your cleavage area may be wider/narrower, your rib cage may be wider/narrower, your rib age may concave/convex... All these factors and many more are what will determine YOUR resulting size sweetheart and this is why its so very important when looking at other women's results not to take them literally and just to take them as a general idea because chances are you won't get the same result due to the small differences we all have to our bodies.
Would anatomicals/rounds look the same? Well... You'll be getting the same volume but you would get more upper pole fullness from a round implant than you would from the anatomicals babe, so deciding what 'look' you're after will ultimately determine which shape and how much volume would be required to help you achieve that look. Xx
Re: 2nd sizing appointment
I'm PRE BA but I've been through the same this last week deciding on size and I've ended up going for what I like the look of in the mirror during the sizing appt. I'm going for a 460cc implant which is big esp when i start looking and comparing myself to others however when I tried it on it didn't actually look that big at all on me...here's hoping that is the case when they are in! My hubby took some photos so I could go away and think about it, I found that useful. xx

Re: 2nd sizing appointment
I have pretty similar stats to you too hun, I was offered either 250, 275 or 300. I couldnt decide between what would be too big and too small, so in the end I went slap bang in the middle at 275cc EHP. Even then I was worried they would be too big on my small frame, but I am so happy.
Like you my surgeon was quite reluctant to give his opinion on what size I should go for, he kept saying it was up to me, so I was grateful he didnt give me a large range of sizes to choose from!

Re: 2nd sizing appointment
I'd personally be sure any surgeon chosen would take full responsibility for the size choice made - any surgeon that refused to commit to a size just isn't worth the money you're about to pay them in my opinion... I mean what happens if the size YOU choose turns out far too big or small then you wanted. Who would be to blame for they? Not the surgeon who implanted the volume YOU chose. They can completely relinquish any responsibility because they had no input!
As experts in this field this is the reason you go to see a plastic surgeon. They should be able to take YOUR measurements into account and maybe at worst give you a couple of sizes to consider because they should KNOW what would be required to achieve as close as possible the look you want.
Size should ultimately be chosen with your surgeon. They should be in absolute agreement that the size chosen is the right one for YOU and they're not willing to commit and leave that responsibility to you, then any problems you may have due to size would totally be on your head. If the surgeon is the person to choose or to mutually agree then then they would have to take full responsibility for 'their decision'
No surgeon can guarantee you'll get the look you want, but they can do their best to get as close as possible to that. Maybe two sizes might be taken into surgery so they can get a better idea on the day as which size would help you achieve the look you want but it really for your own sake be the surgeon that makes or fully agrees and takes responsibility for the choice made.
So please ladies.... Do involve your surgeon in your size choice and make them responsible for that - they are the expert after all and if they won't commit. I'd be off to seek out a surgeon who knows what they're doing. Xx

Hi hun, thanks for your comment! Very similar sized implants offered to us both which is a good sign considering we have similar stats. What size did the 275 take u to hun? and did u go for unders/ overs? I have read a lot of girls saying to go for the biggest one offered but im so concerned that they will look too stuck on.. im not telling anyone (other than immediate family and my boyfriend) so want them to look as natural as possible.
My surgeon is very quiet but he does talk when he has to! :) He went through everything and he said anywhere in that region should get the look im after! Do you have any pictures i could have a wee look at hun?
