More confused than before I researched!!
Hi,
I am getting more and more confused the more info I read (not just on this forum but with all of the info out there).
I know that I would like a BA to give me a D cup size but I am confused as to whether to get unders or overs. I regularly visit the gym and weights, circuits, chin ups, push ups etc are what I love doing. I'm not bulky - 5'2", less than 50kg (8stone) and really toned. My breast size is between a B/C,- I'm a bit too big for B cups but C cups are too big for me and they are a bit saggy. I have never had children but I can walk around for hours holding pencils with em! So do I need a benelli/donut lift too?
There are conflicting advise/comments/reviews about unders/overs and excercising with weights. Also, would unders mean that my boobs would still look droopy?
Another issue is where to have the incision. I have extremely sensitive nipples, which I really want to keep but I also want minimal scarring (yep I want it all) can people please tell me their experiences of having incisions in the crease and also around the nipple.
Would a benelli/donut lift also affect my sensitivity?
Apologies for the blurb of worries and questions, but I feel them more I am trying to find answers, the more questions I am coming up with.
Thanks in advance
Linz x

Re: More confused than before I researched!!
No one can answer the questions you have, you will have to see a surgeon re: unders, overs lift/no lift scar placement etc! All we can tell you is our personal experiences x I had 325 anatomical unders! I had no natural breast tissue left at all! And my scar is in the crease. I had anatomical as my boobs were very droopy, but not droopy enough to warrant a lift this time around. Most surgeons prefer overs, if at all possible! However they don't usually recommend unders if you do a lot of weights/upper body workouts! Unless they feel benefits outweigh the negatives, But again only something a surgeon will be able to answer.
Have you booked any consultations yet?

Hi Linz,
Firstly im pre-ba too so il give you some advice from my point of view, but other girls will also be able to give you better advice im sure that have already had their BA.
Have you seen a surgeon yet? Firstly, they will tell you in their expert opinion wether you should have unders or overs because it depends on you and your body. He will also be able to tell you what size implant you should have for your shape and to reach the size you want. As we are all different, its hard to say what size you should go for. Eg, if a size 8 lady went for a 290cc implant, they could be perfect (depending on the body) and take her to a D or E cup. If a size 14 lady went for the same size, chances are it wouldn't do the same thing because it would be to small for her shape so again, your surgeon will be able to tell you what you should go for! Until then, i think its best not to stress about it until you meet them because i had no idea before hand!
There are benefits and negatives of both unders and overs but if you type it into the search bar such as unders/overs nipple incisions/doughnut lifts theres so much for you to have a look though :)
Im unsure on the uplift part sorry but i hope that starts to help, and again im sure some other girls will be able to help with the other questions!! :) x

Re: More confused than before I researched!!
I am also still preba so may not be of much use to you but like the other girls have said the best thing u can do is book as many consultations as possible so you can get a better understanding of the procedure/ risks and whether unders/overs/anatomicals/rounds etc etc are best for you. There are so many decisions to make and this is best made with a surgeom who performs this surgery day in and day out :-) i definitely advise lookimg at the pros and cons of unders and overs and even looking in the pre/post op stats sticky on the general breast augmentation section to get a rough idea.. This means u can bring a few questions along to your surgeon to clarify some issues.
I wish u all the best with ur BA and make sure u keep us updated. There are always plenty of girls on here to lend a hand or give some advice xxx

The only person that can answer all your questions is the surgeon. He/she will know exactly what you need. Get a few surgeon consultations in and you'll start to get a better idea. x

Re: More confused than before I researched!!
Like the other girls have said book a few consultations. The surgeons have the expertise and we are paying for that knowledge and service. I took pictures of the 'look' size I wanted, they work in cc's, not cup sizes, they can't guarantee what your cup size will be. Explain what you want and they can tell you, discuss what is best for 'you' and how to achieve it. They will go through the positives and negatives. We are all individuals, have differing amounts of breast tissue, different breast shapes etc. I saw a few PS and when I met the one who did my BA I knew he was the man for the job so to say!!! You need to feel confident with the surgeon and comfortable with them.
I had unders as I had no breast tissue. 270cc implants, currently wearing a 32D sports bra, it's tight, but i'm still swollen.

That's were we can help

Its vitally important that you discuss what you do at the gym with any surgeons you may have a consultation with because with the training you've said above and stating that you're really toned this would probably have a big impact on you having partials if this was what might be required for your body type and would most likely cause muscle distortion due to how tight your chest muscles would be, so for anyone who is muscular and does the kind of training you do at the gym then overs would probably be the best option for you.
My breast size is between a B/C,- I'm a bit too big for B cups but C cups are too big for me and they are a bit saggy. I have never had children but I can walk around for hours holding pencils with em! So do I need a benelli/donut lift too?
It depends where your nipples are sat babe and the degree of ptosis you have.
See the diagram below:
If you have grade 1 ptosis then an implant alone would most likely be all that's needed to help lift the breast when enlarged.
Anything over that though and a surgeon may well consider a lift of some kind to be your best option.
There are conflicting advise/comments/reviews about unders/overs and excercising with weights. Also, would unders mean that my boobs would still look droopy?
If partials (unders) are the best option for you then no lovely, given the right implant and if a lift is required your breasts won't be left with any sag at all.
Another issue is where to have the incision. I have extremely sensitive nipples, which I really want to keep but I also want minimal scarring (yep I want it all) can people please tell me their experiences of having incisions in the crease and also around the nipple.
Would a benelli/donut lift also affect my sensitivity?
The risk of nipple sensation loss is higher when having an incision around the areola but although lower, there is a risk of loss of sensation whatever incision you have and this is something everyone having this surgery does need to take into consideration before pressing on with having a BA if their nipple sensation is so important to them. I will say however that in all my time here (over 3 years) I know of only one woman to have lost full sensation from both nipples. A few have lost some sensation from the nipples or on parts of the breast but the vast majority do get full sensation back.
.Apologies for the blurb of worries and questions, but I feel them more I am trying to find answers, the more questions I am coming up with
This is why we're here Linz
Your best bet lovely would be to research some surgeons in your area and make an appointment to have a consultation with them. Seeing more than one surgeon really helps for you to KNOW you're making the right decision after being given time to compare surgery plans and surgeons. Do as I said above and tell the surgeon about your training because this will have an impact on the choice of placement to suit you and any more questions... Fire away hun! We're more than happy to help. Xx
Re: More confused than before I researched!!
Thanks so much for all of your replies. I know I was getting stressed, but I wanted to go to my consultation armed with knowledge becasue i dont want to get pressured into having something thats not right for me
Cookie you have made things a lot clearer.
I am just worried about having conflicting information from different surgeons, but you are right...I will get a few consultations then revew the info.
Thanks again you guys are great !!
