Hi, this might sound like an OCD question but how soon after you've had the op can you usually use a Hoover, I'm going to be at home for 10 days with nothing to do and I just know I'll be itching to clean and my husband won't do it!!! Xx

I'm the same as yourself MrsB. Everything has a place and everything MUST be in its place. I'm a pain in my family bun I'm that much of a clean fanatic!

But ANYTHING that's going to put pressure on your upper body is going to have to wait hun. That includes hoovering and ironing....

If you have a moment when you get that itch to grab that Hoover or iron just stop and think for moment.

Think about how long you've waited for your boobs
Think about how much its cost you to get them
Think about the major surgery you've just put yourself through
Think about how just one time of hoovering the rug can set 'back' your healing making your recovery period longer... Or worse, put you back in theatre because you didnt listen to your post-op instruction and caused a complication
Think about you not listening to post-op instruction and this then possibly voiding your aftercare, leaving you to have to pay over again to repair any damage done

And then sweetheart.... Think, is a little dust on the rug that can be sorted by someone else later really worth it?

I hoovered for the first time today - after 6 weeks of itching to do it.. and it's still was wonderful as it ever was! DON'T WORRY - you are NOT missing anything.. let the carpet get fuzzy and you'll find that people will offer to do it for you;)
I got cleaners in a couple of times in the first few weeks - but sounds like your mum will be banging the door down to sparkle things for you.
Enjoy your time. Having boobs is worth a bit of dirt.

Haha I was in floods of tears 4 days post op, as the bin needed emptying, it was to heavy to lift and I was home alone!! Never felt so frustrated! But honestly chick don't risk it for a cheeky clean! I'm very much a clean freak, it's very frustrating at the beginning but you will get used to it, just do the little things you can do. Good luck!!

agree with the others, 6 weeks for heavy duty cleaning, but to make yourself feel better you could walk around with a feather duster, dust at arm level Cleaning the house after surgery 727661855

6weeks wow I could never have waited that long I've been doing all the housework for about 2weeks now......whoops! I found with hoovering instead of using one arm I was using both of them and walking with my Hoover instead of the usual way! I'm even picking my 2year old up naughty I know but needs must sometimes.

Please don't think I'm not encouraging others to ignore their PS advise.
