Muscle spasms and shooting pains, unders!
Hi girls, I am 9 weeks post op today, and I have been getting muscle spasms in my lefty and I've got shooting stabby kind of burning pains in both my boobs. Is that normal? And what is it? I'm worried my implant is going to flip.

I had overs and you get those sorts of pains so I'm sure it's all pretty normal x
Give them a quick call if you are still worried hun xx I'm sure it's all fine though x

The stabbing and burning pains are due to the nerves healing babe and is very normal.
The muscle spasms Lisa... Do you mean the muscle of your breast is jumping when you maybe open doors or move your arms in a specific way? Xx

I had the shooting pains with overs hun and these are very normal and a good indication of nerves healing. I'm not so sure with the muscle spasms as I didn't have unders.

Thanks babe
This could be something called 'muscle distortion' and can happen when you have implants placed partially under the muscle. For many ladies it doesn't bother them at all, but for some they can be embarrassed or aware that the distortion can be seen, if this is the case then you'd need to discuss this with your surgeon Lisa and discuss the possibility of changing the placement from partials to overs. Xx

Hey sweetie xx
I get it occasionally babe, doesn't bother me as you can't see it, it's just like your muscle flexing.

I wouldn't worry about it then lovely. If its not bothering you then a re-op simply isn't worth considering. Xx
