Well I can't go back on the pill yet, too quick to go back on the fags but I got a bit fed up of waiting last weekend.
Then panicked about getting preggie and offered something you should definately keep for best.

Well I managed to completely ignore the non smoking advice, played at it for 4 weeks, 6 days smoke free before the op then 4 fags when I got home the next day ..... Think I have suffered for it though with slower healing - I still can't wear a bra all day....
Regarding the pill, my PS said it is usually 4 weeks after but because I am smoking he told me to see my GP.
The same GP that rushed me through the Champix to help me stop smoking.
Might be looking at a cap/coil me thinks.....
When is your follow up? Might be worth ringing through (or email if you can)

LOL Kenzie - if it helps I was on painkillers (the white wine and brandy co variety) and it seemed like it was time to have a bit of fun.
Thankfully, he was a bit more sober (and sensible) and didn't bounce me too much.

I've been totally smoke free for 6 weeks now and don't really want to go back to smoking maybe just an occasional cig socially. The pill though been off since week before op, finished the strip and never went back. I'm seeing my PS next week Thursday so might ask then, for now I'll stay off both xx
Was just curious about how u healing with the smoking x

I'm ok. Still can't lift my hands over my head for long but am shopping, working travelling. No pain killers for 4 days now so I'm getting some sore pain at the side of the scars but apart from that, just feel a bit heavy up here.
I do think I would have been further forward if I had stayed off the smokes but then, maybe only taking 3 days off work was also dumb.
But here we are eh, bigger and better x

It could also be cuz u had unders I hear that's really painful and takes longer.Also only 3 days rest must be tough on u!! I took it really easy in the first week and now I can forget I even had them done. Only thing is I haven't slept in my side or totally flat yet and could definitely feel it take it's toll on my back this morning :-S

I didn't have to stop taking the pill, but I did as had a terrible fear of getting a DVT! Smoking I was told 2 weeks before surgery and 2 weeks after! But I had already given up, I stopped end of jan, to help fund my BA.
