stinging around incision normal?
When they took my bandage off at the hospital yesterday the sticky pad on the left boob incision had blood on which i was abit freaked out about but the nurse said nothing and didnt seem concerned at all and just put another sticky pad over the top. did anyone else have this?
Also is it normal to have pain especially where your scars are? Mine is hurting especially on the side where the bit of blood was on the pad yday ? x

Re: stinging around incision normal?
A bit of blood is completely normal while your skin is healing. If it was soaked and you needed the pad changed often this would be a concern. The stinging is normal especially as they probably put some iodine of antiseptic on while they re dressed the wound, this can make a cut on your finger a bit stingy but on a surgical cut would sting a bit more as it's deeper. If your nurse wasn't concerned hun I really wouldn't worry. They would let you know what to keep an eye on if they felt you needed to.

also im wondering whether my bra band is to tight? Ive changed to a 34D as the 36D felt loose at the back. This 34 now feels tight around the front but i can still put my fingers up the back of the band ok so isnt tight round the back *confused*
How tight should it be? x

Try sticking sanitary towels where your incisions are lovely. Worked a treat for me. Dont worry about the blood, that is very normal as long as your dressings arent drenched in it =] x

I think this early post op it's very difficult to get comfy. As suggested try padding out your band around the incisions this will help ease the pressure. Swelling really is a bi**h
Re: stinging around incision normal?
Sounds like all is just fine babe and you've already been given great advise.
The blood you saw was just a little oozing and is completely normal after having surgery, so don't give it another thought hun
Enjoy the rest of your recovery and we're here for you anytime babe. Xx

The sanitary towels really help. I have some on today as I'm feeling a bit sensitive. I found breast pads on my nipples really helped, especially when I had the macom on as it seemed to irritate me. X
