stinging sensation
I've had a stinging sensation today on my left side at the stitches is this normal I'm 8 days post op

It's not unusual for a wound to be uncomfortable so early - important things to look out for are a fever, pus from the wound, reddening of the wound/the skin around it.
It's likely to just be your body healing but if you're worried you can always call your PS - no shame in checking!

Stinging, or any electric shock feeling coming from the incision is normally good, means its knitting back together and the nerves are healing. Try some ice packs across the top of the breast (not near the wound) to sooth it.
As Kay said, the things to worry about are sudden swelling, green/yellow smelly pus, feeling flu-ey. Anything else is healing. FYI, they'll likely get itchy soon too, again, ice packs, and take an antihistamine if its really bad.
