QOTD - Potions for Stretch Marks. Empty QOTD - Potions for Stretch Marks.

Post by nire_white 19th April 2013, 11:38 am

Hello girlies, happy Friday!

So my 'Question Of The Day' is about the potions and lotions you all recommend for stretch marks.

What to use to prevent them?
What to use to minimise?

I have stretch marks from when I was about 16 and I grew a butt out of nowhere, but I wasn't expecting this to happen nor was I really aware I had stretch marks until it was too late, so I had no time for a preventative. I used Bio Oil for a short period of time but as the marks were still 'settling' I'd say it was pretty fruitless.

So I want to fully prepare myself and get stocked up and rubbed up with the best I can find, so what have you ladies used to prevent stretch marks? And how long before my op would you say I should use it for?

Thanks for all your advice once again ladies!

The ever inquisitive, Nire x

Many use Bio-oil on their boobs to help get the skin nice and supple in preperation to help avoid stretch marks. I personally don't like bio-oil, I find it too greasy and it give me spots, so I prefer Palmer cocoa butter (non scented. Can't stand the smell of the scented one EW!)

Prevention is all you can do pre-op and then hope for the best.

If you're prone to stretch marks its possible that whatever you do, you're going to get them anyway. But you can at least do your best to help prevent and its good for your skin anyway.

I smother my boobs in palmers twice a day. I have stretch marks from when I breast fed but thankfully never gained any more from having my BA x

Thanks Cookie :)

Yeah I'm just happy to do as much as I can myself as a preventative, but what will be will be!

I liked the palmers and bio oil and used both on alternate days before and straight after my op.

I'm still using bio oil and palmers, I don't know if it's working as I already had stretch marks from breastfeeding. But any excuse to rub my boobs eh? Lol didn't notice any new stretch marks tho xx
