My breast lump - Finally got the ALL CLEAR!
Hi ladies,
I haven't really been on here since my previous thread about finding a lump in my left boobie! I finally got the all clear yesterday (the NHS really do like to make you wait!). Turned out to be a cyst! The nurse said I had quite a few of them so I may just be susceptible! Anyway, I had to have needle expiration to remove the fluid and they sent me on my way......simple as that!
So now I can finally concentrate on the journey to bigger boobies. My previous operation was scheduled for 24 March with Paul Clarke via Transform, but obviously had to be cancelled until I got this sorted. Transform haven't really impressed me from the start but I wanted the surgeon after seeing a friends results. However, the attitude of the PC and Transforms whole admin whilst I've being going through hell contemplating the possibility of breast cancer has been disgusting......so.......I have removed my custom!
I have decided to go with the man who was my first choice all along (I discounted him purely because of the travelling as he operates about 120 miles from here I live), Adrian Richards through Aurora at BMI Three Shires in Northampton. Had a consultation with him last week and explained everything that was happening with my poorly boob. He was amazing and his nurse Aggie was equally fantastic (she is like your first point of contact, a bit like a PC but she is his actual theatre nurse, so knows her stuff!). I'm booked for 20 June :-)
I've stalked him on Youtube for ages, so felt like I'd had a consultation already! This whole experience has made me realise I need to put my body in the best hands possible. I know everything could have gone smoothly with Transform but it just didn't feel right to me. I know I've made the right decision now!
Sorry for the rant ladies! xxx and thank you to all for your kind words on my previous post :-)

Re: My breast lump - Finally got the ALL CLEAR!
Thanks girls....I'm so happy now that I can just get on with things instead of having a big black cloud hanging over my head. Been so miserable this past month.
Newboobz - I have seen Miles Berry's profile. He looks like he is a fab surgeon as well. I know I've made the right decision (for me) going with Aurora.

Re: My breast lump - Finally got the ALL CLEAR!
Thank you :-)
To be honest, if it hadn't been for the advice of some ladies on here telling me to use bio oil on by boobs in the run up to my BA, I probably wouldn't have noticed it. I only felt it after rubbing some on one night! It's just made me aware of checking my breasts more often!

i had a consult with both him and adrian richards. adrian was my no.2 but i just preferred miles - i think that might be cos i have a slight crush on him HA but they are a good company. (altho i didn't get any post op info but thats cos BMI didn't give me it!!) i was originally thinking of going with Miles through cosmetic surgery partners but chose to see him through Aurora cos consultation was free, and just had such a lovely experience with the company at both the buckinghamshire and london clinics that i chose them :) xx
where bouts r u traveling from? xx

Oh that's wonderful news that you're all sorted finally! Bet you're so happy to be given the all clear and to be getting back onto your BA journey. So jealous you booked with Aurora, i too have youtube stalked them for ages good on you tho for taking a stand and taking your custom away from Transform, i doubt that is a decision you will regret =D x x x x
Re: My breast lump - Finally got the ALL CLEAR!
Newboobz - I'm travelling from Leeds and having the operation in Northampton so quite a distance, but its worth all the extra travel and really AND considering that Transform generally charge £3,995 for a boob job (unless you haggle them down a bit) plus another £500 for Natrelle implants, the cost of going with Aurora is only (theoretically) £35 more!
And thank you balamoryyellfruit.....I am VERY happy :-) xxx

Re: My breast lump - Finally got the ALL CLEAR!
well, i'm a student so will be moving back to where i'm from (hertfordshire) in july! so thats why i chose a london based surgeon. i was going to wait until august/september to have the op but the job i have back home is a bartender so lots of heavy lifting the barrels etc so i'd have to of had 6 weeks off which just isn't feasible at all so ended up getting the op during my uni easter hols xx

Re: My breast lump - Finally got the ALL CLEAR!
Oh what I would give to be a student again, just so I could have my BA done in the holidays and have plenty of time to rest!!!! I'm having 10 days off work but still, if I could go back in time and have had it done whilst I was at uni, I would have!
Did you have natrelle or nagor implants by the way? I still have to go for my sizing appointment so wont really know until then, although Mr Richards did say he thinks I'll be 360ish and over the muscle. xxx

Re: My breast lump - Finally got the ALL CLEAR!
Its certainly no secret that I've had my problems with Transform too babe, but I'm so sorry to read that with all you were going through that you had to deal with problems from a clinic you hoped for support from
So glad the results of the lump are all clear and that you're feeling happier and more confident now babe. It must be such a relief for you. Xx
