when can you go on a night out after your ba?
Well have told my friends im having a ba and they were like 'yay we must arrange a night out to show off your new boobies!' and asked me when we can.... when will i be allowed to show them off in a nice dress for a night out? can you take 1 night off wearing a sports bra say 3 or 4 weeks after ba or do you have to wait until after 6 weeks to go braless/in a non underwired strapless bra in a nice dress for a few hours?

I'm allowed to wear 'normal' underwear after 4 weeks! Ask your surgeon?

Re: when can you go on a night out after your ba?
to be honest hun they won't be looking that good immediately post op ... don't get me wrong, i LOVE mine, but they are very strange looking still... they wouldn't fill out a nice dress properly at all!!
you can't take your sports bra off until you have been given the all clear!! this can potentially void your after care going against surgeons instructions. Plus, we wear the sports bra to keep them stable while they adhere to the pocket... all that jumping around and waving your arms etc that you do when clubbing... without a sports bra on?? is it really worth comprising your results for the sake of a night out??
of course you can go out and enjoy yourself when you feel ready and once off antibiotics but until you get the all clear you will have to be in a sports bra i'm afraid. And wouldn't you rather wait until they are looking FAB anyway that show them off when they are still shiny, triangular and high?
xx

Realistically, you're talking between 4 - 12 weeks before you'll be able to fully enjoy a night out lovely and this will be dependant on your healing, your surgeon post-op instruction and how you personally feel too.
You're just a week away from having your surgery willow and you've probably waited a long time for this day to come, saved hard to get your boobs or maybe took a loan, you're going to put yourself through major surgery in 6 days to get them and after all that, you're willing to possibly compromise your healing through not listening to your surgeon for the sake of 1 night out?
Think about it hard willow.... Is one night REALLY worth it when you have the rest of your time with your boobs 'after' healing to enjoy them as much as you want knowing you did all you could to ensure the best result possible for yourself?
your post-op instruction really should be taken very seriously babe. its set in place to help give you what you paid for. the surgeon does his part in helping you to get that and the rest which is the recovery part... well, thats up to you hun. if you choose to ignore instruction and something does go wrong, sadly sweetie, you'd then only have yourself to blame.
Sorry thats probably not what you wanted to hear lovely but it really is that serious that you do listen and follow your post-op care instructions. Xxx

You'll be in a sports bra for up to 6 or 12 weeks.. you'll be able to go out to a quiet pub for example after 2/3 weeks and sit down (sports bra on of course). You won't be able to go on a mad all night dancing clubbing night out until around 3/4 months post op x

hi girlies just to add to this, when is it ok to start drinking alcohol post-op? depending on the time of my op (hoping october time), my friends birthday wont be long after and id like to go out just for a few drinks in a wine bar, not full-on club style! xx

Re: when can you go on a night out after your ba?
you can't drink for 48 hours after a GA. You also can't drink whilst you are on antibiotics and, depending how strong they are, possibly another 48hrs after you have completed the course. I would say it will be at least a week before you can consume alcohol again although bare in mind, depending on how you fare with your recovery you may not feel up to going out, even if it is just for a few drinks xx

Re: when can you go on a night out after your ba?
I went out on Saturday night clubbing, so just under 2 weeks. I was careful to stay away from anyones wild elbows on the dancefloor, but I was able to dance, drink and enjoy myself. Although I was wearing my sports bra, nicely covered up by a peplum top!

You know what. It might not have been a good idea but I think I went out 10 nights after my BA. And it was fine! I wasn't wearing a sports bra I just wore a boob band so had a dress that covered it up. But to get them "out" it'll be a few months x

Re: when can you go on a night out after your ba?
I would follow your Ps advice regarding wearing a sports bra and don't think it's worth the risk not to follow the advice xx
As far as a night out I would say when you feel ready I would be aware of the risk of putting your healing back a bit though xx if you go out early post op and don't look after your new assets you may regret it the next day xx
