that is confusing hun, im not quite at the consult stage myself yet so dont have first hand experience of the options and, of course the new boobs lol, but what i would suggest is typing up a brief outline of each consult for you to read back as this might help you understand what fits best for the result you're looking for. hopefully some post-op ladies will come along with some more help in a bit! xx

Ah that's got to be very confusing for you hun, did any of the surgeons give reasons for their option on placement? The 3 surgeons I saw all advised very different sizes for me but placement all the same!x

the first one who said partials said my breasts had lost elasticity but not in need of a lift so partials would suit me best, 2nd said full unders and i was a straight forward patient then the 3rd said overs as 1 boob would double bubble if i had unders and i wasnt straight forward!
aarrgghh!!

Hey, I was told unders by 2 and overs by 2. But I've realised that one of the PS who recommended unders just preferred that placement, the other gave no explanation. I went with overs as the PS said he needs to fill in the emptiness left by breastfeeding. I also had 2 say I need a nipple lift and 2 that I don't. I didn't have the nipple lift and I'm very happy with where my nipples are at this stage. My decision was based of the amount if confidence I felt from the PS and his reviews/results. So far very happy I went with him xx

hi hun, always make sure to ask the surgeons to explain their reason gor recommendig a certain placement. you want to make sure that this is a medical reason and not just his personal preference.
and i would keep going to consultations until you have a 'majority vote' and also most importantly until you find a surgeon you're convinced of and feel comfortable with.
good luck hun x

Unders and partials are the same Hun.

Who did you have the consultations with?

I'd be wary of the 2nd one, sounds like he favours one placement (unders) and straight foward as if he does that as standard. And sounds like he hasn't given you a valid enough reason.

I would highly recommend seeing a bapras or baapas registered surgeon , these surgeons usually work for small or independent companies, my breast, nuffields, bmi hospitals , spire or independantly .

A consulation with them can be a long longer and more well informed . Not like a rushed quick consulation with a bigger compmau who see hundreds of women a week.

Unders aren't necessary partials. But most people use the term unders for a partial placement.... I don't know why, but I suppose with many words words if you can shorten them you do and in the majority of cases unders are partially under the muscle.

Unders are generally only ever used for reconstruction surgery babe.

It seems you have a majority of having the placement 'partially under the muscle' so you could rule out the surgeon that suggested over babe I'd you'd like to.

Did you have any particular connection with any of the surgeons? Did one of them make you feel happy after the consultation? You felt they gave you time to discuss the procedure and help you to understand?

If not hun... Then none of them are the surgeon for you and you're right to continue with your search lovely.

You'll know 'the one' when you meet them because they make you feel safe, comfortable and assured that they have listened to you and and you feel they're able to give you what you're asking for. That's when you know you've found your surgeon babe.

A little tip is to take pictures with you of the 'look' you like babe rather than discussing cup sizes. Surgeons work in volume (CCs) not cup sizes so being able to 'see' what you want will be very helpful for them. Having pictures will also be helpful for you too because you'll be able to actually show the surgeon exactly what you're hoping for leaving the surgeon in no doubt of the look you want.

You'll find pictures in lad mags such as Nuts or you can look for some results you link from the links in this thread [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] babe. Xx

Book in with a mybreast surgeon!

The hospital groups premier surgeon told me teardrop would look wrong on me and I couldn't have bigger than 300 and there was nothing he could do about asymmetry in a 10 min consultation.... The surgeon I went with told me teardrop would look amazing for natural breast shape, sort my upper pole, said he could place one implant slightly off centre to correct asymtery in my ribcage, use different projections to sort the asymmetry in my breasts and suggested I go 290/335 to maintain a natural feel in the hour he spent with me

Massive difference!! X

I am going with mybreast like littlewellies. I found them great. I had 3 consultations, each was roughly an hour. I didn't feel rushed, I was given his secretary's number too and he phoned me a couple a times to answer questions I had - these were little questions that I didn't need a full consultation for. I was also given drawings to explain things too and he wrote thing down for me to take away. You want someone you feel 100% confident in. If somebody is rushing you it does;t really make you feel reassured :(
