Bra Band Sizing
I have always worn 34" bras. Just measured myself and rib age is 30". Does this mean I should really be wearing a 32" band. I bought a shockabsorber yesterday in a 34" and that feels tight. It doesn't hurt but I am aware of it all the time. Is this normal and how it should be? The debenhams fitter was useless when I asked her if the fit was ok!

Re: Bra Band Sizing
Shock absorber bands come up much tighter than most, I think.
Your ribs will stil be a bit too sore, even if hey don't look swollen, to wear a properly fitting bra yet anyway. But yes when you go n to normal bras you should probably be in a 30 or 32 band. x

Re: Bra Band Sizing
I'm 29 around the band and when fitted told I should wear a 30 band but if I'm more comfortable in a 32 that's fine for me and will still give good support for my boobs. I couldn't breathe in a 30! So wear a 32.
If you're measuring 30 you should wear a 30 band. But measuring as we all know isn't an exact science. So maybe try the 32 hun. Xx

Re: Bra Band Sizing
Thanks. I should have tried a 32 to see the difference but as the 34 felt snug i stuck with that. I will get fitted properly after 6 weeks although will have to find somewhere better than my local Debenhams. I think i am just not used to having a band this snug before. It doesn't hurt but I know it's there whereas before in bras I couldn't really feel I had one on.

Re: Bra Band Sizing
All your support comes from the band babe... Many women presume the straps support the breast but that's not the case at all, so the band needs to feel really snug in order to keep those boobs supported hun. Xx
Re: Bra Band Sizing
