Just wondering if anyone had been told how long to wait after your BA before you are allowed to drink? I was advised an the number of days before and to avoid alcohol 48 hrs after...... but is that is can I drink again after 48hrs? I am missing a nice glass of vino already but obviously dont want to have a drink too soon after and damage the healing process!

I was told no alcohol for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after. But all surgeons give different advice, so follow the advice you were given by your surgeon Huni x

To be honest babe, I'd give yourself at least a week alcohol free after surgery. Alcohol acts as a blood thinner and therefore could encourage a bleed, so just to stay on the safe side I'd personally wait out a week lovely. Xx

i was told not to drink whilst i'm on the antibiotics (i was given a 5 day course) but i'd try and leave it as long as possible hun you'll heal better without any alcohol in your system x

I didn't drink for 5.5 weeks after but then had a fair few at my sisters wedding on Saturday and must admit am sore now after 5 solid hours on the dancefloor! I think at least a week but then take it easy as when you are drunk you may be braver with movement etc.. Will def take it easier for a wee while yet xxx
