ice packs...
Hi,
Did anyone use the instant ice packs?
Were they useful?
Thanks
Kenzie

Re: ice packs...
Hey Kenzie!
I used good old frozen peas lol, just wrapped in a clean cloth! Best thing ever for the burning feeling you sometimes get, plus they numb your boobs aswell! Only thing is you have to keep them away from the scars, just rest on the tops of your boobs. Its heaven! I'm assuming instant ice packs would be the same

I'll second Noellepig, frozen peas did it for me too! A quid for a bag from Asda smart price lol. I just split into two sandwich bags then wrapped in a tea towel!
It really is heaven!!

No, the weight doesn't hurt, just dont put a kilo of peas on each boob lol! In the second week, I just ached alot and my cars hurt more, I think this is beacuse you start to feel better and do more when you're maybe not ready? I went back to work after a week, I'm a receptionist at a doctors so there's no lifting or anything like that involved but for me, I felt I wemt back too soon and I could have done with another week off and I only work 16 hours a week. If you can take it easy for another week, I would hun, just from my experience x

Re: ice packs...
Ya, weight is fine, don't even notice it.
I didn't find the second week that bad but everyone is different. I think I've had it pretty easy so far, had a few bad days at day 3-5 but since then I've been pretty much ok.
I had my op on the 31st of Jan and was back to work as normal on the 11th Feb. To be honest I was glad to get back into some sort of routine, but I did get a small few twinges if I over did it, your body will tell you if your doing too much.
If they know about the op in work just explain you might want to take it easy for the first few days? And if you find it too much then stop. xx
