Hey ladies :ghug:

Need your thoughts.....

I have a wedding to go to this weekend and although I am still early PO I have healed quite well. I also had a lollipop lift so have no horizontal scar under my new boobies just a vertical one and one round the nip.......anyways.......

Do you think I will be okay wearing a bra with underwire in it for the day if I put some padding/dressings on my scars?

I have a really nice dress and just can't wear a sports bra under it, it looks awful. The underwired one is one with see through straps and a back strap that comes round your tummy (backless)......I thought about boob tape and then no bra, but then thought the underwired option would be better, as at least I will still be supported.........

What do you think?

Hi Kay!!

I think perhaps the underwire is not a good idea soo early....it could disrupt internal scar/tissue healing. Could you not perhaps find a supportive nonwired even strapless bra. Sorry if this is not what you need to hear...but, I would personally, especially with uplift too not take the risk. xxx Hug

Thanks girls x

You're both right, I'm a bit gutted as I thought I might get away with it, but I know you are both right :(

However, on the up side, I have just been on this site and have found a strap that fits to any 2/3 hook bra apparently turning it into a backless one! So I have ordered that and have got a little sports bra that is low cut with no wires that I might just get away with, fingers crossed x

Also I went out to the bin and got the packaging out for the underwired one to send it back :(........

Thanks again girlies :ghug:

no hun don't wear the underwire, even though there is no direct scar it will put pressure on the uplift & worse case scenario cause a bleed & that's the last thing you want to do, it's still early days & even if the scar is closed now the inside is still healing & fragile, i'm sure you'll look awesome still Flash xx

Mia isn't it amazing what you can find to buy on the interweb!! Things that I didn't even know had been invented!! Wonderful.....

Thanks SS, wise words as always chik x

Even better, I had a right stroke of luck last night, and that NEVER happens to me..........

I tried a sports bra on that I had just chucked in the bottom of the drawer as it was a cup size too small. It fit pretty much everywhere but was a bit low to the front and had like a scoop style going on, so I put it on and then tried the dress on over the top and, well,..... you could have knocked me over with a feather, you couldn't see the bra anywhere (just a bit at the side but boob tape will sort that)!! I was well chuffed, you can see a little at the back too but that strap thingy should sort that!! :)

Problem solved Cheerleader and the dress looks amazing!!

Yay
