Phew!
Well, a little bit off the radar yesterday. After speaking to the hospital on Sunday as I was worried that my swelling had suddenly increased and there was a lot of redness around my nipples especially lefty. And I was in a fair amount of pain and it looked like I had jiggers nipple! Ewww
The hospital said if I didn't have a fever just to I've it and rest and speak to my nurse on Monday. I called the nurse first thing yesterday and she advised me to go down to the clinic at Finchley so she could have a look and check my incisions for infection.
So hubby drove me down and lovely nurse Lola looked me over and took my dressings off.
She thinks there was just some inflammation, maybe in my milk ducts as well. And it was made worse with the fact I massively over did it on Friday. So it's antiflammatories and ice packs for me. They are looking much much better today after lots of ice last night.
I just have to keep monitoring it and inform her of any sudden changes. Or get myself to the hospital if I get really worried. But she was so lovely and I feel very reassured and well looked after.
So I don't need to go bacon Thursday to have my dressings off because she said my incisions look great and I can take the dressings off myself on Thursday and have a shower. Hooray!!!!!!

Re: Phew!
Glad all was ok, but please let this be a lesson learnt to you and a warning to other early post op ladies, just because you may FEEL your healing and feel ok doing things, the damage you could cause or put your healing back is compramising and potentially Harmful to your healing .
Internally you can't see what's going on and not forgetting you've had major surgery.!
Just please take it easy and don't do anything you shouldn't be!!!!!!! X
