Phew!
Had my pre-op appt today and had a HUGE scare over the contraceptive issue! Nurse told me surgeon would prob not do my surgery..... But luckily once we got hold of him he said as long as I sign against the risks of DVT he is happy to go ahead!
I was so nervous, cause this is rly the only time I can have the surgery, AND Ive been psyching myself up for toooo long to wait all over again!
So yay, going ahead for Monday!

Happy to hear your able to go ahead. Did they not tell you to stop before your pre-op then? I'm on the combined pill & not sure yet wether I will need to stop..xox

Re: Phew!
Cazzyxo, he didnt tell me before my pre-op, i only read it in my standard hosiptal notes less than a week ago..
They told me that up until 4 years ago, no one was told to stop contraceptives, its a fairly new thing. Obviously it does raise the risk, but for me the greater risk is getting pregnant right now!
Thanks for the support ladies!

Re: Phew!
Dont forget hun if u have antibiotics it will stop your pill from working so you need to use the 7 day rule and use extra protection or u may become pregnant anyway!

You'd be surprised!! I think I was about 4 days post op the first time we did it although it was very planned out and not very spontaneous or romantic at all!!
