consultation with Adrian Richards
I turned up at The Paddocks Clinic which is the HQ for his own clinic, Aurora. They didn't have my name down on the list because the woman from MyBreast hadn't notified them about my appointment so I had to fill in a load of forms but they fit me in. Mr Richards himself was really lovely, very nice and smiley, asked me about my job etc. Also kept calling me 'Nicky' (my names Nicole) which was strange, but his way of being friendly i guess. I was only with him for a couple of minutes, he asked about the look/size i wanted. I then went into another room with a nurse, he then came in and measured my breasts. Said they were really nice!! Had a good, round shape to them and reckons once they're bigger i'll be able to get a good cleavage! He then said he's go for an implant 12cm in diameter, somewhere in the 300s over the muscle! He then left and the nurse gave me a CD which is apparently an hour long and just him talking all about the BA procedure and its risks etc which i guess makes up for him not mentioning any of that in the consultation. She said to listen to it, make notes of any questions and then come back for an hour long sizing appointment with a nurse where she'll explain the implants and i'll get to try on loads of different sizes, profiles etc :) So overall, even though the part with Mr Richards himself was short and sweet i'm very satisfied with how it went, thought him and all the nurses were lovely! Tho i'm a bit confused because I rang mybreast and have been since at Aurora and all the contact/info I was given there is Aurora related so i'll need to ring MyBreast and ask how exactly i'm meant to book with him through them? But yeah, i'm really happy!!

Aww that's great i'm really glad to hear that! Where is he based tho hun? I would love a consultation with him but don't really want to be travelling down to London. But i love watching his videos and ops and he does seem like an amazing surgeon! x x x
Re: consultation with Adrian Richards
The Paddocks Clinic is in Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire but he also consults in Milton Keynes & Northampton i believe but still quite a way from merseyside!! I've seen all his videos on Aurora too, and i've got a consultation on Friday with another surgeon who works at Aurora on Friday but if I do go with Mr R i'd want to book through MyBreast because their aftercare package is better :) xx

Re: consultation with Adrian Richards
hehehe i'm excited for the sizing appt. I've been offered 380 - 410s at previous consultations so if he's set on ' somewhere in the 300s' i'll push for 380s. I remember watching one of his videos and a woman was having 380s and he was like 'yes this is a big implant' but i don't think 380s are a particularly big implant :S oh well, shall see what happens next week at the appt :) xx

Re: consultation with Adrian Richards
I think 380's is big because it is like top end really isn't it? It is so close to 400 that it might as well be in a way hehe. Aww i'm really thrilled for you! Do you know when you're looking to book for? What size are you hoping to end up? x
Re: consultation with Adrian Richards
I dono, i'd have said anything over 500 was big . Haven't really got a 'size' in mind, I just want as big a implant as possible without them looking super fake. Hoping to book for around 24th - 28th March, give me enough time to heal before 3rd term of Uni xx

Re: consultation with Adrian Richards
I'm studying nursing. I've only had 1 consultation so i'm looking into booking some more but i think i'm going to end up with my 1st one...he was great, i turned up 3 hours late and he still saw me and spent an hour with me, then i was another half hour with the co-ordinator :heehee: i would have loved to go with Adrian Richards tho, i really am so jealous! Because i have tuberous breasts so i watch a lot of his videos where he lowers the breast crease etc x x x

Re: consultation with Adrian Richards
Glad it all went well, As i've said before he would of been my choice if he was closer to me, and I hadn't heard rave reviews about my surgeon! He does appear to know what he is talking about and seems very genuine in his videos

Re: consultation with Adrian Richards
Hi Nicole
I have been reading your posts. Isn't it great when you finally have your new you lol. You start to think it will never happen then can't believe it when it does:dance: .
Anyway, I hope you can help here...I am looking for a surgeon for BA as I think I may have to have my breast implants replaced due to rupture (well at least one of them) and I have heard Mr Richards is the best for this. I have just found out today that I have an appointment at the hospital next week to be checked/scanned. I want to be ready to move quickly as I want to get my implants out and new ones in asap if they are ruptured. I had mine done 20 yrs ago, I was so happy and excited when I had them done and have been really, really happy with them until this problem, but I think they have lasted so well, I have been so lucky as they still look good but sadly the surgeon who did my boobies has passed away and so here I am re-searching another surgeon. Did you go with Mr Richards or am I reading right that it was a different surgeon but with the same clinic. I wondered if I could see your before and after pictures. I need to be ready with my choice of surgeon and the kind of implants I want. I had Mcgann 20 yrs ago(or that's what it looks like on my notes...can't quite read it for sure as it is a bit scrawled lol). Hope to hear from you soon.

Re: consultation with Adrian Richards
Hey Hun. You're correct, i ended up going with Mr Miles Berry but through Aurora which is the same company operated by Adrian Richards. Both are fab surgeons and I would highly recommend either of them. I went with Mr Berry purely because I felt I connected with his surgery plan better not because I had any problems with Mr Richards. Also Aurora as a company have been absolutely fab throughout the whole process I couldn't fault them in any way. I only share my pictures with 'active' or above members but once you have reached this stage PM me and I'll be more than happy to show you but in the meantime feel free to give me a shout if you have anymore questions xx

Hi...and thank you for your quick reply...That has helped me because although you didn't have him for your surgery you still have a positive opinion of the practice and can recomend your sugeon too.
Sorry about the picture request...I thought I was an active member?? can you tell me what an active member is and what an above member is too. Maybe that's why I can't pm anyone:-) xx

Re: consultation with Adrian Richards
...hi Nicole...I can understand that... but what about us busy bees. I don't want to sound a wimp but I have a job and my boys too who keep me on my toes all the time. I am a single mum and get no help from my ex's parents. My ex does help a little but my parents live in Scotland so no help there either. When I get home I am usually completely shattered after cooking dinner and just want to sit down and nod off lol...but i can't....I don't have to tell you about the homework, reading, washing, ironing, shopping etc...added to that the lack of sleep due to worry about my boobie:seeing stars: my head is a spinning lol.
