Post op bra sizes
So ladies, I have seen that shock absorbers seem to be favoured as far as brand goes by a lot of people. Can anyone recommend any other good brands?
Also will be surgeon be able to give me the best idea on what size bra to by for after the surgery?
And is going up a band size advisable for directly after the op?

Re: Post op bra sizes
Hi, I bought a Triumph Tri-action extreme sports bra and even the nurses were commenting on it last night saying what a fab, supportive bra it is! It was 30 quid but I think it's worth paying extra money for when youve just spent thousands on new boobs! I didnt go up a band, but I did buy a bra extender for £1.50 from Home Bargains and I think I'm going to have to use it soon as the band is getting uncomfortably tight, but the band sits nice and flat against your ribs, well under the incisions. I'm ordering another one tonight, I ordered it from Very.co.uk because you can spread the payments over three months without paying interest, and it was the cheapest I could find, they were about £35 anywhere else. When I went for my pre-op they told me what cup size to buy for after the op.
Good luck x

Re: Post op bra sizes
Hey hunni!
I'm 4 days post op and i'm sat wearing my Macom in a medium which is soooo comfy and feels so supportive!!! So would deffo recommend it & you don't have to know your post op bra size to order you only need your bandwidth ;)
I've also got a 2pack of M&S high impact sports bra's which are fab and an extra high impact one which zips at the front and their all great! I would def say go up a band size for them as i did i they fit really well as i'm still quite swollen x
Hope this helps hunni

Re: Post op bra sizes
I would say Macoms, Royce, Shock Absorber are all good bras. You can ask your surgeons opinion as to what bra they think would be best for you. I would recommend a larger back size or a bra extender for straight after the op.
