Re: March Buddies
Bathing is a definate no no, showering is fine as soon as you've seen your ps or nurse and they've told you it's ok to start showering. You must not get anything on your scars until you've been told by your ps that it is ok to do so. No soap, shower gel, moisturiser etc! And no heavy lifting, if I shop I put less in the bags and only lift 1 at a time that way I know I'm not lifting anything too heavy, or I load them up and get the kids to carry them lol x it's dreadfull that you have been given so little post op advice. When do you next see your surgeon?

Re: March Buddies
Hi Lisa,
I'm seeing him on the 4th May - it would have been 24th April but I have to be in Denmark. I always knew it would be tight.
When I had the dressings checked a week after the op, I was told all was fine and to leave them on for 5 more days then remove them. I am in more pain than I expected, but maybe I have a low threshold.
I am also doing the one bag at a time thing much to the annoyance of the queueing shoppers (ha ha).
One thing that I am concerned about is my vulnerability - I hope that doesn't last too much longer. Imagine a woman walking through Sainbury's with her arms outstretched in defense mode lol...

Re: March Buddies
Lol, I'm still walking in crowded places holding onto my boobies. I'm not sure how long it's going to last for. If anyone gets too close I say omg mind the boobage, do you know how much it cost lmao!! My teenage daughters think I'm mad, and my OH laughs at me. As for the bra issue you have, try putting a panty liner in that cushions your scars, I found that a large cotton pad worked better for me.

Re: March Buddies
I think all of us girls are very protective of our new boobage x obviously don't rub really hard. There were some tips on this thread about a week ago, it was use e45 cream or a little olive oil, for getting rid of the glue. But be very carefull not to get any near your incisions xx

Re: March Buddies
Enerjjoy - Try using breast pads over your nipples in the maccom. It really helps. x
Re: March Buddies
Yes newboobz, they've been softer for the past two days and righty feels totally mine, no tenderness at all, lefty slightly tender. But they look fake as hell still, no sign of dropping yet. How about u, any movement or changes?? X

Re: March Buddies
Thought I'd stir the March Buddies!
I am 3 weeks post-op now and finally feel myself.
Boobs haven't moved other than the swelling has sibsided.
Have some of you already softened/ seen movement?
Also - just now I swear I felt an internal stitch literally pop/ snap. I was kind of wiggle-stretching my back to try and twist out the cricks (that I know we all have) as I sat on the edge of my son's bed, Snap is the only description I can give. So here's the question - are the disolvables likely to do that under pressure??? I mean, are they probably at the point that they are almost dissolved and I just made it snap?? I don't feel pain, but I am conscious that it happened and am now paranoid. Anyone else experience this?

Re: March Buddies
Well it's nice to hear from another march buddie x I am 6 weeks PO. Now and my boobies are soft, but not as soft as I think they're going to be. I had a few moments where I thought I had snapped something, but as I felt no pain and there was no swelling I assumed I hadn't done any damage x I don't think they have moved much. But I had unders so that will probably take a while xx

Re: March Buddies
I wondered that. I guess it's possible. I had one j thought was going to come out I felt it right at the surface.
I hope everyone is well.
Any other march buddies suffering with very workey boobs? Mine look like they belong to two different people. I can't bare them :0( x

Re: March Buddies
I'm waiting to look at Lisa's pictrail as I have resisted until now - but without much movement in my boobie world, I'm finally interested in seeing what other gals are experiencing.

Re: March Buddies
nikki - I think my left is going to be bigger than my right - which was the case when I was nursing my kids, but I didn't think it was part of my anatomy - more about the volume of milk. My ps actually noticed (how with so little breast tissue preBA I don't know!) - but I def freaked and thought we maybe should have addressed it with cc.
When I get dressed all is cool, and I'm ok with the idea that this is going to take 3-6months, maybe longer to settle down.
Are you wonky when you're dressed?
