Re: March Buddies
Lol me too, well sort of lol, I've got lots of skin from having and breast feeding 7 lovely kids. Can I ask how long it took you to get the nhs to agree to your implants? I tried for over 4 years with no luck, I even saw the phsyciatrist at their request and she agreed I needed surgery but still got told no. X I'm pleased they agreed to yours x x

Re: March Buddies
Well I have been very lucky it seems I seen my GP for the first and only time in June last year and literally just showed her my boobs then a couple of weeks later had a letter from the LHB explaining that they only accept cases who meet the strict criteria etc and that I had been accepted for funding! Then seen PS in Oct was told i would have the op within 3-6months....letter arrived a couple of weeks ago for op on march 18th i have pre op on the 12th. I thought It would be a long drawn out process with a big fat NO at the end its taken me 9 years to go to the GP in the first place but was so low about them or lack of them! i Haven't seen a psychiatrist at all or had to even explain how my breast effect me! X

Re: March Buddies
Wow!! Your so lucky for it all to have been so quick and fairly easy. It just goes to show how different areas work very differently. My gp was fantastic, she was very understanding and explained that the process was long but that I met the criteria I just had to prove it lol! Then she had a heart attack and sadly passed away and my new gp has been dreadfull, he put me on anti depressants, and told me he was going to send me to a body dysmorphia clinic (he hadn't even looked at my boobs). So I have given up and borrowed the money to have it done privately. Lets just say my gp was less than impressed, luckily I got a copy of the original letter from the phsyciatrist saying I needed surgery and i wasnt mad or suffering with any other mental illness! otherwise my ps wouldn't go ahead ( although he agreed that I didn't have body dysmorphia). I'm sooooo pleased for you xx

Re: March Buddies
I can't remember what projection, to be honest I came out on such a high I can't remember much at all.... I won't marry my other half until I have boobies lol xx oh nice matching underwear, that will be lovely. I hurry through the underwear section with pangs of jealousy lol! I was wearing padded bras up until a week ago when I thought bugger it I've got to spend 3 months in a bra so I'm going to go bra less for my last 2 weeks!! Ooh I will try sleeping on my back in preparation, that's going to be hard!!

Re: March Buddies
I move around loads in my sleep so don't know how I'm going to manage. However, I was reading a post on here the other day about it and girls had said once you've had the op it's easier than you think to sleep on your back (I guess it's really painful otherwise). You can let me know anyway Lisa seen as you are the week before me! :) x

Aww I keep feeling like that too Lisa! I also made the mistake of watching a video of someone having breast surgery the other day! Fascinating but I should have probably waited until after I've had mine lol!
Emma - did you get your ticket sorted?

Re: March Buddies
Oh Hannah I keep watching stupid videos on you tube... Some are great and I think oh that's easy I can do that, then I think oh my there is noooo way I can do that!! I'm up and down so much at the min, I will get really excited and then an advert for Disneyland or something will come on tv and I will feel very very guilty for spending so much on me. I know I'm doing the right thing though and I know my kids will benefit in the end. It's just a roller coaster of emotions! Xx

Re: March Buddies
I find the whole process fascinating but scary too - I was reading a surgery story on here the other day about a girl who had her BA whilst awake (presumably she had something to calm her and localised anaesthetic) but still I couldn't believe it, I couldn't do that! Very brave!
Aww I'm sure after having 7 children it's about time you did something for yourself, although difficult for me to understand I guess as I don't have children! :) xx
