Anatomical Unders
Hey ladies, just a few questions as im noticing difference in my boobs a bit now and they are softening up.
My boobs are squishy and jiggley at the bottom but seem quite firm up top, is this because i have unders and they'll always be this way.
Also with the anatomicals, i tried lying on my back and looking in the mirror lol they seem to stay big at the bottom and also if i squish them together now they seem to go really high up my chest at the side is this because of the teardrop shape?
thanks xxx

Re: Anatomical Unders
I've been recommended anatomicals too. The down side to anatomicals is that they do look unnatural when you lie down because they keep that tear drop shape (that ironically is what makes them look so natural when you're upright) and generally unders don't tend to go to the sides as much because of the muscle holding them in place, Unders are usually what are called "dual planes" which means that your top half of the implant is under your muscle (hence it feeling firmer) and the bottom half isn't supported by the muscle (hence the jiggleyness of the bottom). I can't say for sure, but i should imagine as your muscle starts to relax more around the implant they should soften up  hope this has helped a bit x x x x

Re: Anatomical Unders
I'm sure we will get used to it over time. I think even if you lie down with rounds they tend to look quite augmented anyway :smiler: just one of those things that sadly can't be avoided but tbh quite a lot of girls prefer their implants to stay the same whilst lying down because they dont like it when their boobs look flat and move nearer to their armpit so in a way we're ahead of the trend
Don't suppose you have a picture trail with a photo when you're lying down? Just so i know what to expect when i have mine haha x x x

Re: Anatomical Unders
I dont chick sorry, i'll try and get some on for you to see. I had the rounds before this ba and i think i preferred them but my surgeon recommended anatomicals.
When is your ba? xx

Re: Anatomical Unders
Sadly only in April only time i could get 2 weeks off to recover. How come you switched from rounds if you don't mind me asking?
I have tuberous breast deformity so i was recommended anatomicals. He said he could give me rounds but with my condition (makes me sound pregnant haha) he would prefer to do anatomicals as these will give me the best result x x x x

Re: Anatomical Unders
I had my round for 12 years and just over time they sagged but they faired really well. They did look natural on me and i said i wanted to keep natural shape...he suggested anatomical unders so i went with his judgement but im not happy with it at all...they do look great for REALLY natural boobs but i wanted a bit more up the top which hasnt happened. I didnt have much breast tissue and i had over befores, but he thought these would be best. They do look good but it just wasnt what i was hoping for. Im going back in Jan to discuss a re-op and think i'll need a lift this time too.
Im sure you cant wait for april to come!!! You'll be all soreted for the summer coming in!!! xx

Re: Anatomical Unders
I imagine then that he gave anatomicals and unders as a way to counteract sag (again with tuberous breasts part of the deformity is sagging so i know anatomicals is supposed to help with this) but if you're not happy then i'm glad you've arranged an appt to discuss re-op just sorry you aren't happy with them. What size were your rounds? And what size are you now if you dont mind me being nosey? x x x
Re: Anatomical Unders
Mine are equally squishy all over & I have unders. Apart from the issue with my right I love them & can't wait to get it fixed!

Re: Anatomical Unders
Pocket has been made too wide. So left is lovely and pert lying down and right is very much like a normal boob and falls too far over. It's only lying down its a prob but its really not a good look.

Re: Anatomical Unders
Cazzy i don't suppose you have any pictures of your boobs when you lie down do you? Just curious to see what they actually look like. I'm sorry that you're having problems tho. What has your surgeon said? Surely they will have to give you a free re-op?!
Louise, what size do you hope to be from 420 or 460? I've been told 445cc anatomicals from 36B should hopefully get me up to a 36E (I think i worked out that in rounds it is the equivalent of 650cc) x x x x

Re: Anatomical Unders
My surgeon said that the cc should give the same size whether anatomical or round?? Before i had a ba i would have been about 34b and then when i got the 300cc i went to 32dd but the last few years i've been 32E. My surgeon couldnt even believe that i was an E and said with the 300cc i looked a C...there was no way on earth my boobs would have fitted in to a C or even DD.
He said with the 580 it would be an E(which i already was) so its all very confusing and i dont think it can really work in cup sizes xxx

Re: Anatomical Unders
Well i looked in the implant catalogue and the width of my anatomical implant is 13.5cm and the projection is 6.3cm.
In rounds it would be a 13.6cm width and 6.4cm (so only 1mm out) but would be 650cc extra high profile instead of 445cc anatomicals.
I think it is different because the anatomicals have most weight at the bottom whereas with rounds they're the same all the way through so need more volume (because obviously in anatomicals they don't have a lot of volume on the top whereas rounds do) if that makes sense? x x x x

Re: Anatomical Unders
I was only given rounds to try on in my bra to see what size i wanted to go to, so im not sure how that would work out if i was trying rounds in and i said this cc but they used the same cc in anatomical. Does it maybe depend on the height of the anatomical as well as that can vary. xx

Re: Anatomical Unders
Yeah i think it probably does. It may just be me talking a load of rubbish, it's just because when he said i could have rounds but he'd prefer anatomicals i looked up the dimensions and they were the most similar even tho there's 200cc difference but to me it kind of makes sense that anatomicals should have less cc because they don't have a full top so it's kind of like half a round implant in a sense? x x x
