What surgery with tuberous breasts?
I was told during my consultation i had tuberous breasts and was recommended 445cc anatomical overs as i have a BWD of 14cm and the implant is 13.5cm wide. I was just wondering a few things and wondering if anyone could help:
1.) This may seem like a stupid question so i apologise but can you have a BWD of 14cm and also have tuberous breasts?
2.) Are anatomicals the best way to go for tuberous breasts or should i get high profile? (which he said he would do if i didn't want anatomical but he suggested anatomical because i have enough skin ontop, it's the bottom half where i need more)
3.) Should you get implants with a diameter smaller than your own BWD?
4.) Will i need my breast fold lowered and the constrictions cut? (i've watched augmentation videos on youtube for tuberous breasts and this seems like standard procedure with tuberous breasts but i was never offered this)
I'm sure there's more questions but right now i can't think of them thanks for your help in advance ladies xx

Re: What surgery with tuberous breasts?
hey hun i can't really offer any advice re your questions but do you have any other consultations booked? It's best to go to 3 to see if all surgeons are in agreement with the procedure you need, sometimes there can be discrepancies but seeing 3 surgeons should give you a majority decision xx

Re: What surgery with tuberous breasts?
I shall deffo try and see a few others. Just sort of set my heart on this one because i know he's an NHS surgeon and know NHS patient's that have been to him but i shall have a look around and get a general consensus. Just kind of don't know what to do because i only found out about it last week and i think the consultant presumed i'd known about it all along x x
Re: What surgery with tuberous breasts?
ah don't worry bout it hun, one of my breasts is slightly tuberous and I didn't know until the surgeons pointed it out! You never know, the other surgeons might all the say the same thing so you can go to your 1st choice, but at least it puts your mind at rest that you're making the right decision and your surgeon is competent etc etc :) xx

Re: What surgery with tuberous breasts?
Glad it's not just me and it's nice to come here and get the support :smiler: really feel like people listen here and you're all so helpful...just got me a bit down last weekend thinking oh great it's not just that my boobs are small they're a "congenital deformity" but when I rang my consultant he said he didn't think my breasts were tuberous enough to warrant anything other than implants so that made me feel a bit more reassured  x
Re: What surgery with tuberous breasts?
Balamory, I haven't got tuberous breasts, but I did have a surgeon talking about my deformities and it doesn't make one feel great, I have a uneven rib cage, sink in above my breasts, and have bones that stuck out at my sides besides my breasts . I have a slight spina bifida , you wouldn't know to look at me ( like you & your breasts ) just certain things that show when I am undressed. I understand how you feel to an extent , but this is going to be one of the best things you can do for yourself Hun x I am glad you feel reassured now xxx you are gonna look great with your new boobs x x

I'm glad it isn't just me that felt rubbish about being labelled "deformed". I'm also very glad that you feel happy after your surgery and i must say they're perfect and that bra is lush! Deffo giving me the push i need speaking to you ladies and now my main question is should i get furry brazilians? haha. There will always be another question tho i suppose. When i have my next consultation in January i'll discuss it with the surgeon to see what he thinks. Thanks again though for listening to me have a whinge and a panic x x x
Re: What surgery with tuberous breasts?
Whinge Away !! X no problem ! Isn't it the furry Brazillians that stay put and don't move? I get confused!! We worry about size.. Then there's so many different types of implants...
