Stretch Marks
Was just wondering, as I am small (post op) and have none, if after you have BA, do you get stretch marks? on boobs i mean.
Does everyone get them after BA because the skin is stretched quickly or is it only if you go really big? xx

Re: Stretch Marks
i had stretch marks appear on my boobs when i was pregnant but my BA made them appear almost invisible compared to them being highly noticeable pre-op, if you were to get stretch marks then they wouldn't be as noticable as when you get them with looser skin because their filled out so to speak.
Try massaging a good stretch mark cream into the skin pre and post op if you are at all worried and (even though nothing will certainly prevent them if you're going to have them) it will help keep them minimal, good luck hunni xx

Re: Stretch Marks
I had none on my boobs and still dont. After three pregnancies and breastfeeding......and having lived a tad longer than most ladies here. Perhaps I am fortunate ...but I do have them on my upper thighs and em...bottom

Re: Stretch Marks
I suffered with stretch marks on my thighs hips and butt (from gaining and losing weight, never on my boobs unfortunatly), but so far not a sign of one post BA. I've not had children and have gone from a 32A/34B to a 36DD (swelling is the reason for the 36 band). I am using palmers coco butter for stretch marks and bio oil on alternate days, just in case.
Re: Stretch Marks
i had stretch marks from being pregnant and they look loads better since BA. Since your Ba is not until oct, you have plenty of time to use a cream such as Ponds coco butter stretch mark lotion which they now do in an odorless lotion/cream and hopefully by the time you have your BA your skin will stretch just fine. Also start drinking lots of water as this is a good way to prevent stretch marks as it keeps the skin hydrated and makes it more elastic which is why we get them as the skin cant stretch enough :)

Re: Stretch Marks
I had none before and so far no signs of any, guess I got stretchy skin, probably why I had to have an uplift as boobie skin had stretched sooooo much

Re: Stretch Marks
Hi,
I was really worried about this.
I have stretch marks on my thighs so was worried that I'd get them on my boobs.
I moisturised my boobs every day for 2-3 weeks before the op and touch wood, I don't have any and I went from a 32B to a 32E with 410s so a big implant.

Re: Stretch Marks
I think it really depends on the individual. Some people are just pre-disposed to them I guess. Having been a dreadfull yo yo dieter since my teens (now 35) and having had a baby I would have thought I'd have loads especially as I don't moisturise quite as much as I should, but I don't and haven't developed any since ba either. Am using Bio Oil for my scars which is supposed to be good for stretch marks.
