Really sore lefty
After having not much pain at all, yesterday i started to feel quite sore and today my left boob has got even harder than it was and it is so sore to touch. righty has already softened up a little and can;t really feel it at all. tried ice packs but it just seems so hard which is what is making me uncomfortable. i keep feeling like my nipple is pulsating too..

Sorry to hear your uncomftBle hunny, it's like having 2seprate operations. One on each boob, your left has probably endured more trauma to it taking a bit longer to settle, it's not uncommon to feel ok for the first cople of days then the swelling can kick in around day 3 . Nipples pulsating is probably a good thing, it's showing and signalling your nerves are re connecting ! X

yeah you're right about the nipple thing, my biggest fear was losing or damaging my nipple but they are lovely and pink and i can definately feel something going on. Sorry, just moaning really xx

Re: Really sore lefty
You aren't moaning at all hun it can get you down when you're going through stuff you just don't expect from having this surgery, so coming here and talking to others who have gone through/are going through the same really does help, so you ask away lovely whenever you need to.
I could have written a book the questions I asked after surgery, but without asking I would have been left worried and not knowing and the answers are just a few words away... And that's why we're here
I likened the pulsating you're feeling in your nipple to that of when I was breast feeding, you know when you're full of milk and your nipples pulse. I felt it was just like that... It's a good sign though and nothing to be concerned about hun.
You're righty feeling softer than your left sounds like some of the swelling has started to settle babe. Your left will catch up soon enough. It's very common for our boobs to heal at different rates. Xx

Re: Really sore lefty
I have days when one feels so much better than the other and then the next day it switches and feels like I'm back to square one, both looked so much better then I think I did too much and next day they were both like hard balloons again. Funny thing is before I never felt like I had sensitive nipples, one was inverted, now they are super sensitive and can feel them all the time, to the point I've had to put baby wipes inside my bra over them. Think it may just be healing process too and hope the invertedness does not return when they are recovered. Do you think it's possible the ba has fixed the inverted problem too? Xx

Re: Really sore lefty
I've no idea for sure really to be honest Emily, but I doubt it babe, because I 'think' the nipple has to be surgically released for it come back out.... Unless the surgeon did this procedure for you too then it will probably go back to normal after healing. Xx
Re: Really sore lefty
Shame!! Was hoping it was fixed, surgeon did ask if I wanted it corrected but said it would cost another £1800 so I declined :( anyway looks so much better now its not a flat boob and inverted nipple, guess only time will tell!! Xx
