Rupture!
I know it's a trauma that causes a rupture but what sort of thing could cause this? I've been thinking how my dog jumps up at me when I come home as he's pleased to see me but now been thinking that this could cause problems! I'm sure my hair has gone grey since I started my Ba journey!! xx

Re: Rupture!
Lol. Your implants are very robust hun, so much so that a nurse told me about surgeons testing them themselves using their cars to run them over and the implants remained intact
It would take a big impact for your implant to rupture in that way, so your dog jumping on you is nothing babe.
There is however something called a silent rupture, it's called silent due to the fact that it presents no symptoms and the only way of detection is by having an MRI scan. It may be found through ultra sound, but not always which is why an MRI is preferred. It's advised you do this every 3 years after surgery by the FDA to ensure your implants are still intact.
The average life of a breast implant is around 10 years hun. Xx

Re: Rupture!
ask all the questions you want hun... That's what we're here for  and you're not thick at all. Ensuring your fully informed before surgery is a very intelligent thing to do. Xx
Re: Rupture!
Echo what cookie said. My surgeon actually told me first time round, if I was to be in a car accident there would be more chance of me breaking my ribs than my implants breaking/rupturing, so in a weird way that reassured me!

Re: Rupture!
I was terrified about this too. I have 2 very large breed dogs and was worried about them jumping up, or knocking and bumping in to me, but they have been fine! I think that may be because I walk around holding on to my boobs or I scowl at them when they look at me and come near me...
