Sitting here breath of a 1000 camels and a pot belly sick I have drank a carton of prune juice, dried fruit, endless bottles of water, veg, walked around the garden , would it be ok to use a suppository? Apart from this I feel fine  . I was a bit constipated before the BA as I quit fags and was all out of synch. Anyway any advice welcome x Blush Rolling Eyes

Aww hunny I can feel your pain! That's exactly how I was last week, good news is the Buddha belly does go in time and apart from what you're doing cant think of much else. Have you tried massaging your tummy in circular motions as well that can help 'move' things!! X and lots and lots of water hunny xx

If you feel a suppository will help you go the loo then you're fine to use it hun... I found senna was enough for me as we'll as being as active as I could be.

You're doing all the right things Jakki and you'll go soon enough hun don't worry.

Well done for stopping smoking too. Xx

Well done on the smoking. Jakki my mum had an emergency gall bladder removal in Feb & prior to that she was smoking 40 a day. She used one of those plastic fags ?freshcig that's rechargeable and refillable & has not had one fag since its amazing!

I was prescribed senna to go home with and I used it for about 3 days and then eventually things got moving and I spent all day on the loo!! Are you taking any pain relief that contains codeine?? This makes you constipated so if u can cope on paracetamol stop the codeine and that should help!

Your mum has done great Cazzy x I sucked pastilles ( nicquitin frm boots) for a few weeks and weaned myself off cos it's the nicotine that can cause the probs with bleeding and healing . I didn't find it easy. I still fancy one 4 or more weeks on, terrible addiction. He's just got back and said the pharmacist said should start shifting if stopped the stronger meds. Nice man has given my husband his number in case any probs x

Hi girlies, probably a stupid question but what actually causes the Buddha belly after the op? Is it the pain killers??

Well done on the not smoking Jakki  xxx

It's a mixture of the ga and the painkillers and antibiotics, they all mess up your natural rythum and gut bacteria leading to bloating and pain meds can cause constipation. A harsh mixture on your stomach... ! X
