Not yet. Dropping my daughter at school and then going to Tesco to get some bits and then packing. Does anyone know if heat packs or ice packs are best for after?

No heat packs on ur boobs. Maybe for your back thou but iv not needed them even tho I'm achey. I have heard some PSs advise against ice. Mine didn't mention it & I forgot to ask but have used it once!xox

& ouch i slept flat on my back after getting up with my OH for work from 6-9.30 and morning boob was a zinger! I havent suffered from it too bad but that was ouchie!

I love my boobies more and more each day!!! So excited for the changes :)

I had a proper pillow fort last night good thing OH is staying at home and I was at my mums as there really wouldn't have been enough room for both of us lol I had a neck travel pillow too which helped xx

Its the rush of blood to your boobs as you sit up. It only lasts a few seconds - its just a hot zingy pain that subsides eventually. I havent had it enough to complain but i did sleep completely flat for a while.

My nipples are definately reacting to the cold now YAY the lefty still more so than right. Left is also aching a dull ache when touched but righty is still very much numb (My OH finds this fancinating tyically lol - i used to squirm at the slightest brush of my nipples ha). Hoping this is all a good sign of them coming back eventually!

Aw it's so exciting see everyone having their ops! Good luck to all of you left to go..

Bit of a random one on the subject of showers. My op was Wednesday 14th and my appointment for removal of stitches is next Saturday - 2.5 weeks after the op. My PS told me I could shower after a week but to keep the dressings on if possible, whereas the nurse told me she wouldn't shower until the appointment.

I've had my hair washed a few times and havent showered yet, but am really desperate to. I was planning on waiting until Wednesday (2 weeks PO) but what would you guys do?

I'd personally wait until you had a wound check hun. If there is even the slightest possibility your wound hasn't yet healed the last thing you'd want to do is get the wound wet. Wetness of the wound can create a breeding ground for infection hun, so although its not nice waiting, it would be a heck of a lot worse having an infection than waiting on a shower for a few days wouldn't it. Xx

Thanks Cookie - I suppose 5 more days won't kill me! I just found it odd that the PS said I could shower after a week - and I don't like the idea of the dressings coming off as I still need to have my stitches removed.

Looks like I'll be continuing my shallow baths until the weekend...

Cookie it has flown by, cant actually believe how fast its gone. I have been counting down for everyone elses ba's instead of my own.

I feel really wierd now, every so often i get butterflies, then feel sick, then think about the HORRIBLE pics i took the other, then look down at my chest and think tomorrow you will be no more, and then happy again lol!!
