I'm 7 days away and last night i couldnt get to sleep from worry. I am at the nervous doubting stage, i now feel selfish for doing this, what if i dont wake up, how would my 2 girls ever forgive me. I know its normal to feel this way but i hope it doesnt last all week, i want to be excited :) anyone else feel or felt that way? xx

Ciantwo iv had thoughts like it but quickly push them out of my mind.. Never in my head long enough to dwell on them. I know I really want this so there's no going back. I'm just eager to get to the other side now!

Re: November Buddies
Yes i feel the same way, I have wanted this since puberty and im 25 now so its not a new thing to me! I think its because I have never had an operation or a GA and so i dont really know what to expect I guess, never even been to hospital before lol :/ i know im being silly, hope today flies by for you and ill see you on the other side xx

Re: November Buddies
Iv had one GA for something small 6yrs ago. Was the weirdest thing, like passing out drunk you wake up like your eyes were shut for a matter of seconds. As soon as I woke I wanted to go home so was up and out of bed & home within a small time frame. Nurses wernt too happy I was up & I'm the worlds biggest worrier/hypocondriact - it was fine.

I push those thoughts out of my head too. I'm not sleeping properly thanks to this cold! I will be more excited when I feel better. X

Re: November Buddies
Im not sleeping either, still woke up worrying again today. Keep going to the toilet too Got butterflies (not nice ones) and feeling a bit sick!! All nerves i know but still horrible :(
At least im not having a GA. Iv never had one and would panic but they perform hundreds of these ops under GA all over the country every day so it will be fine hunni. At least you don't have the fear of waking up during the op like me!!! lol
Just keep thinking of the end result....iv wanted this for nearly 10 years, nothing gonna stop me doing something for myself now!!
Lots of hugs xxxx

Re: November Buddies
I have to be honest and admit I freaked out a bit too. Mainly about going under GA but you close your eyes for what feels like a second and then your done and awake. Its normal to have these fears especially when you have kids. I didnt care as much the first time when I only had me to really worry about. You all will be fine!!! xx

Re: November Buddies
Crikey Nikki your braver than me! Im a bit of a wimp with anything medical. I had my 1 week check up earlier and the dressings replaced. Didnt hurt but I was still nervous. Im sure everything will go well. We will all look back at the nerves and worries in a few months time and think why was I so scared! xx

Nope, none of them know - but I met them 2 days after for a coffee and noone noticed so I think I'll be fine! My boobs look exactly the same as normal anyway - I used to wear a 2 size padded bra - so I've been dressing the same as usual :) x

Re: November Buddies
Mine are fine just a bit sore underneath where the cuts are. They look great just feel quite wide apart, almost under my armpits ha. They did this last time until they sort of fell into place. It will take a few weeks but they will get there x
