Selecting the right doctor for breast augmentation Empty Selecting the right doctor for breast augmentation

Post by COOKIE 18th September 2012, 11:47 am

According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery,
statistics show that breast augmentation ranked number two among all
surgical cosmetic enhancement procedures in 2011. Although a popular
surgery, results achieved from a breast augmentation can be affected by
many different factors, including the surgeon performing the procedure.
Board-certified Baltimore plastic surgeon Dr. James Vogel says choosing a surgeon who exhibits the utmost care
and attention to a patient's individual needs can make the difference
between achieving one's desired results. He adds that surgeons should
also strive to help patients customize their procedures to enhance the
overall surgical experience.
In an effort to aid the formation of an individual treatment plan, Dr.
Vogel offers patients a variety of implant options including
state-of-the-art memory gel and cohesive gel implants. He also helps
patients choose between multiple incision locations, as well as where
they want the implant placed in relation to the muscle. He says,
"Customizing implant size, style, and placement of incisions provides
women unprecedented options to achieve their complete breast augmentation goals." Although multiple procedural options are important, Dr. Vogel
says demonstrating an unyielding commitment to achieving patient goals
is essential to a strong patient doctor relationship and a safe,
effective procedure.

As a proponent of enhancing all aspects of a cosmetic breast procedure,
Dr. Vogel aims to use extreme caution and precision in an effort to
limit patients' recovery time. He says, "Meticulous technique and gentle
handling of tissues remain the cornerstone of surgery and faster
recovery." While all results and recovery times vary, Dr. Vogel says he
feels experienced surgeons can generally ease the healing process by
choosing the best procedural strategy based on each patient's particular
needs. He also says that patients should always consult a
board-certified surgeon when interested in receiving plastic surgery in Baltimore because they have the experience and training necessary to ensure safe and ethical treatment.

I agree that choosing a surgeon who is attentive to your needs and takes time to ensure your BA is tailor made just for you is the best option.

We see many times here from women saying that their surgeon 'only does unders' (partials) or 'only does overs' if you ever go to see a surgeon that only ever offers one placement girls run for the hills!

All of us women are different, therefore, it's going to take a possible different implant shape, placement, size or incision/s to create the look you're hoping for! So do bare all that in mind when choosing your surgeon girls, if they're stuck on one path offering no direction for another which may be the better option - Look for another surgeon! xx
