You can go on rides when you are all healed hun. I went on a couple this year and my boobs were fine. It may be that you don't want to go on any for the first year or 6 months. You can fly long haul after 6 weeks too.

Re: enjoyed a day out at Alton Towers yesterday..but
You can go on but do be VERY aware of something I was asked when I had a rupture which could have compromised my aftercare.
When I approached my clinic, the two things I was asked was 'Had I been in a car accident and had I been on roller coasters"
Now I've no stats, but for a clinic to focus on these things to ask me, I should imagine 'for them' these would be the most common reason for ruptures. Neither of these applied to me... I had no reason for my rupture at all, but had I been involved with either, my after care would have been void.
Just thought I'd let you all know 'my personal experience' from approaching a clinic with a rupture and what was asked of me.
So the girls wasn't exactly telling you porkies lovely... xx

Nope, neither can I... but I'm just passing on the information I was given by the clinic when I approached them with a rupture.
There's a lot of information 'not out there' that you know nothing of until you approach a clinic with a complication. It's only then you find they pull all kinds of things out of the bag! xx

Can they really void you for a rupture if you have been in a accident though Cookie as this is obviousbly something beyond your control? Also should they be making us aware of rollercoasters etc as a thing not to do? wonder if it states this in the small print! Xx

I've no idea babe... I would presume in that circumstance not because the circumstance wouldn't be preventable, a rupture caused by the impact from roller coaster however is..
Maybe they presumed from the extent of the damage to my implant that it must have taken a big impact to have been so badly torn (shown on CT)? Mr Selvaggi did tell me after I'd told him how scared I was of the fair anyway "Good *laughed*, because we wouldn't have been able to replace them")
There's a lot we're not made aware of in the small print sweetheart.
I wasn't aware and I'm sure many aren't that the possible repercussions of a rupture (breast distortion that required a lift to repair in my case) is not covered by after care. Only the replacement implant is free. Any further treatment required to repair any further damage cause by a rupture other than to to the actual implant will be to your cost.
Not all is how it seems lovely. Some of us found that out the hard way. xx

I wouldnt risk it with my implants. I went to Florida 3 yrs ago(before my boobies) and the rides are amazing but some are just too rough to risk. xx

Think I will get out the small print, very naughty to not be made aware of these things. I feel bad now I'm normally the one that gets on these rides with the kids as hubby can't with his leg but I'm paranoid to do so now! Lol
They should definitly make you more aware of what the cover actually covers as if they say your covered for rupture you assume that would also include the surgery that's needed to fix the rupture. My bro in law works for top barristers firm so if I'm unfortunate to have to ever have these complications I will be calling him! Lol
Good luck tommorow Hun will be thinking of you xx

The thing is, we all know there are risks involved when we have a BA and we all have choices.
Yes, there may be risks involved in going on roller coasters but… if you really love and enjoy something so much, some things are worth taking the risk for in my opinion.
So if you want to go on them GO! Enjoy yourself! There's nothing at all to stop you. As long as you're aware of the possible consequences should you be so unlucky to have a rupture caused by the impact of a roller coaster it's all good isn't. Xx

I'm going to Florida next September and I will be going on the rides. I know I have paid a lot of money for my op but I have been saving money for a long time for this holiday and I going with my closest friends and all our kids and we have been talking about how much we are looking forward to screaming our heads off on the big rides. When I went last time there were loads of women with BA's going on the rides!
