So I had a consultation this evening with Mr Vaingankar at BMI Saxon. I really liked him, I found it extremely useful and informative and most of all I've calmed the $$$$ down about the whole thing!!!!

I'm much more interested now in going ahead with a BA, I do feel a little frustrated at how terribly pleased my husband is to hear this! Though I suppose I'd be moaning more if he was unsupportive and totally against it seeing stars  I could have a slight concern that he will love the boobs a whole lot more than me! But I'll not worry about that for now.

I'm unlikely to go ahead with this surgeon merely because he mentioned BMI only offer 6 months of aftercare. I didn't really bother checking this before as I'd heard such good things about them and was feeling very up in the air about the whole thing anyway.

So he examined me and said with the natural look in proportion with my body he'd expect a 240-270 round with moderate profile placed over would be the way he'd go. This is a new world to me and I've been googling around to try and get a better understanding of it.

I'll now book to see Mr James who works at Pinehill and Spire Harpenden. He's got the credentials I'm looking for and from research seems well regarded so I'm hopeful that if I go ahead, I'll use him.

A question for you ladies, in terms of how many boob jobs do you carry out in a month/year etc? whats the desired answer? I'm thinking the more the better in terms of experience but could it be argued that they could get complacent if they do loads? some people could argue that they maybe squeeze too many surgeries into one day etc? Its not something I'm major concerned about, just more interested in what the norm is. Mr Vainganker mentioned about 12 per year whereas Mr James mentioned about 10 per month - quite a difference!

Thanks for reading ladies, I have been mental up and down on this so far, really hope I start to settle down now and make a final decision.

It's fab you had such a positive experience in your first consultation! Mine was too although I left feeling scared to death and convinced I wouldn't do it back in oct and here I am with two weeks to go! I didn't ask how many they did a year/month but put their name out on various forums and got feedback! Still roller coaster of emotions and decisions to make once booked but deposit paid now and no going back!! X

Glad your feeling more positive about a ba now.  I was filled with huge doubt after 2 consultations and I didn't book for 6 months.  (partly because I wanted to save up more) I was quite up & down in these months, telling myself I was selfish spending all that money when we have 2 kids etc, but the more people I spoke to and a few people who had it done, said I wasn't being selfish, needed to do something for me to make me happy & it was the best thing they'd ever done.
Hope your 2nd consultation goes even better.

Great news! At least you have a professional opinion now which you can compare to others! Did you get an opportunity to try on a sizer? Otherwise maybe do the rice test so get an idea how you feel about that implant size. I'm not sure what number of procedures a year is ideal, but personally I'd feel more comfortable with the one who does 10 a month. It's hard to gauge but their before and after photos may be a good indicator of whether you're happy with their experience.

So glad that you enjoyed the experience, every consultation really is so different.

I personally don't think I would ask how many ba's they do a month. Some of the best surgeons do other things like teach! So although they only do say 50 ba's a year, they are a hand full of the best lol xx
