It's just the nerves healing Shena and a good sign that full sensation is returning. It doesn't always feel this way and can last anything from a day or two to a couple of weeks plus!

You might find using those round make-op wipes in your bra against your nipple helps ease the sensitivity as it acts as a nice soft cushion again the nipple rather than the abrasiveness of your bra material or the seam of your bra. Other women prefer to use breast feeding pads during this time.

I preferred the make-up pads myself, 'cos they're small and less inconspicuous. xxx

Try ice packs for your sore and tender boobs hun, again, it's just the nerve endings healing that's causing these sensations. They really do help. If you don't have icepacks a bag of frozen rice/peas/corn will do.

The numbness in your nipple is very normal at this stage too lovely... it can 'generally' take anything up to a year or more for full sensation to return. xx

You're fine KS4111. I was numb at first too after my surgery. The feeling does come back in time and you then begin to get all kinds of strange sensations coming through your boobs as the nerves heal. Nothing at all to worry about lovely. xx

I had quite numb nipples after my full anchor lift last year but after my re-op they are super sensitive. It must be a nerve thing and I'm sure it will calm down - well I hope it does huh smiley xx
