What do you wear to sleep?
For the first 4-6 weeks post op, what do you wear to sleep? Sports bra? I've been sleeping in them the past 6 days and they are really uncomfortable.
I stress (in my sleep ) about the band slowly riding up to my incision, putting unnecessary pressure on it! I've tried unhooking the back part of the sports bra but it's still very uncomfortable! Is there anything else I can do/wear to get a better night's sleep?

You're best sticking to the sports bra in the first 6 weeks Hun, if you're worried about it putting pressure in by our incisions try putting a sanitary towel facing down in your incisions underneath the band, the bit of padding could help x

Hey wishful! I've added extra gauze on top on the already padded steristrips, but I think tonight I'll add another thicker layer of gauze on top! Thanks wishful! Xx

Re: What do you wear to sleep?
Personally I couldn't sleep with a sports bra, I just didn't find them comfortable enough, so I bought a Macom bra to wear at night xxx

Re: What do you wear to sleep?
I'm in my sports bra at night and I'm 5 weeks post-op - it took me a long time to find one that was comfortable enough though. I was hearing great things on here about the Lonsdale bras in sports direct so I bought one and its sooo comfy! Ive already been back and got two more
Re: What do you wear to sleep?
Ooh... They do look comfy! I wonder if I can find them here in Dubai! Thanks Hun! I need to go Lonsdale hunting this weekend coz I cannot imagine sleeping in the ones i'm in now for another 6 more weeks! It's torture!

Re: What do you wear to sleep?
Do you have M&S over there? I can personally recommend their zip fronted sports bra babe, it's really comfortable and holds your boobs nice and snug for a great comfort fit. Xxx
Re: What do you wear to sleep?
Hey cookie, yes do have M&S here and I initially bought the front zipper ones but they were really tight around my ribs, rubbing against my steristrips. I even got 2 band size bigger. I traded them in for a blue colored criss-cross back one, which is a bit more comfy but stil a bit tight around my ribs! I'll keep wearing them for now since the support well but will go hunting for other ones this weekend!
I thought maybe I can sleep with a sports vest that has padding support inside, but maybe I'll stick with the sports bra just to be sure.
Thanks Hun! Xx

Re: What do you wear to sleep?
Hi hun. I still wear my sports bra to bed as I find mine very comfortable. You still need to wear your sports bra to bed for a while yet, you dont want to ruin all the good work They do need to be well supported still, and remember ,it wont be forever xx

Re: What do you wear to sleep?
For the first 3 months I slept in my Lonsdale sportsbras (those bras made a hit). Nowadays I sleep with a very soft lightweight bra top (I bought it from C&A).

You need to stick to a 'high impact' support bra sweetness. This will keep your boobs stable giving them time to adhere to the breast pocket, so steer clear of the cheaper bras and vests and stick with the full support ones just whilst you're healing lovely. xx
Re: What do you wear to sleep?
Whew! Had to check the label again of the ones I bought! Thank God they're high impact ones! I started to panic there for a sec!
