Re: For you, men or attention?
All for me and my self-confidence...I never developed anything despite my mom and sister being blessed! So spent my years from about 16 where I realised if they hadnt grown yet they were never gonna up until one month ago wanting to be able to buy a bra that wasnt 90% padding or gel, wear strapless dresses or tops and have them stay up and generally have the curves that meant I didn't look and feel like a 12 year old boy when naked
It has definitely changed my confidence a lot...I love not feeling awkward about them and trying to disguise the fact I had no cleavage and was all padding!
The BEST money I have ever spent xxx

Re: For you, men or attention?
I definately got mine for me. My boyfriend wasnt too happy about me gettin one as he said i was fine as i was but he knew i would always get one someday :) ive wanted one since i was about 15, so roughly 11 years, when all my friends got boobs an i didnt. Didnt help that i was pear shaped n felt so out of proportion. Even when I was younger i felt ridiculous being so tall for my age, size 12-14 and had no boobs :( was awful. I only wear 2 bras….scratch that.....wore(!) 2 bras lol
im sooo happy that ive done this and cant bloody wait til i can wear lots of different bras n wear matching sets!!! Ive never owned one!!! I just feel so much more feminine n comfortable in my own skin.
It annoys me soo much when people say u should love the skin ur in etc etc but i think if u haven't been naturally blessed or u dont feel as good about yourself post baby etc then if u can change it.....do it!!! Im so glad i did. Xx

I def did it for me. I just wanted some self confidence and I knew my boobs(or lack thereof) was a large part of what was holding me back. Best choice I ever made!!!

Re: For you, men or attention?
WOW what an interesting question Cookie! I'd love to be able to say they're 100% for me, actually, maybe they are! No one has ever made fun of me, or asked me to get a BA, but I just knew that not only have I wanted one since all my friends got boobs and I didn't, but that everyone (Except my mum!) would love them!
I hate to admit that I do love the looks and attention I get now, and that my Fiance is OBSESSED with them (Even though we did start dating 1 1/2 years before I got them).
I feel better about myself, I love the attention, I love how every bathing suit and every top and every bra and piece of lingerie and strapless dress and bra-less outfit looks PERFECT now!!
And I'm happy that my finance and men in general feel the same way - does this make me shallow? I hate to admit that about myself, but it just feels so d*mned goood!!

Re: For you, men or attention?
Alexandra you probably hit the nail on the head. In my eyes it's 100% for me. When I began this journey I was a lot more nieve in my reasons for wanting it done, but as you then start the journey and start looking at pics and realise all of the inhibitions this will take away etc then I suppose the answer to a question like this changes too. Like, I have been out today and bought a full length mirror from tkmax so I can perv at myself.... I mean REALLY !?!?! ... I swore that this wasn't going to change who I was and I logiced that as I didn't wear low cut stuff before and flaunt my body then I wasn't going to suddenly change my personality and do it after the BA, and I stick to that, I haven't changed, but why not enjoy my body if I like the way it looks. I am going to love myself to the max if that's the way I feel, you only live once and I plan to feel good about myself after all of the disruption we have gone through to get it :D
So, did I do it for me? Yes! Does that mean I won't enjoy how it has affected my own confidence in relation to men and attention? Hell no! I refuse to ever not enjoy myself again x

You could switch that around I suppose and ask yourself, do you think you changed who you were to adapt to a body part you had no confidence in?
I know this was true for me
I haven't at all changed who I am or my personality. I always longed to reveal a little cleavage or wear a boob tube pre-op but it just wasn't possible for me because I just didn't have the confidence to pull it off. After having a BA it released the me that was always there and longing to get out. The me I had always been and my BA brought me so much happiness when I had the freedom to be just me with no insecurities.
Me! Me! Me! hahaha. So For me personally I enjoy my body, I love the way I look but for me, I just don't need any sort of assurance from anybody else, because now I'm happy with how I am. I don't think I enjoy myself any less than anybody seeking out attention for their BA though, I get all that from myself haha. xx

Yes! You got it cookie! I'm too early on to enjoy any of the benefits yet but the way you put it is exactly the way I would want to say it. I'm sooo looking forward to the future x x

Re: For you, men or attention?
100% for me...although it was me feeling uncomfortable showing a many breasts that was the final nail in the coffin to my decision.
And have to admit, I am looking forward to the attention when I unleash these bad boys from the sports bra and get my beloved Hybrid dress!!!

Re: For you, men or attention?
Mine was 98% for me and 2% for the clothing manufacturers who insist on making dresses for women with boobs! I was flat as a pancake and sick of clothes that didn't fit around my lack of a bust. I can't wait to be all healed and go buy anything i like in the shops

Re: For you, men or attention?
I'm 32, single and wanted a bit of a confidence boost, so I did it totally for me. That said, i'd be lying if I said I wasn't hoping for a a bit of extra male attention to come my way I think that's only natural! xx

Re: For you, men or attention?
100% for ME!
I decided to have it done when I went to M&S to buy a new bra after BF my last baby. I was in the fitting room and the assistant couldn't find a bra to fit me properly - she pointed out that it was because they were so 'empty'
I left in tears. I always hated having small boobs but had always been 'too sensible' to seriously consider surgery. But that did it for me, I came home and booked an appointment that day!
I'm only 9 weeks post BA and although I'm not happy with my results just yet - it is still the best thing I could ever have done for myself - I just wish I had done it earlier!
I feel like a women again. x
