8 months on, questions? Empty 8 months on, questions?

Hi all,

Sorry haven't been able to get on here lately, I'm nearly coming to my 8 month post op stage and have some questions, they seem to have settled lovely my only concerns are that my right breast seems to be extremely sensitive more so my nipple it's more painful than sensitive, hubby never touches it because it's an awkward feeling, also the scar on that breast always seems to have that itchy feeling, it has healed well but not sure about the itching and lastly when I light flat in bed my lefty slightly moves to the side as a normal breast would do but my rigt is still staying pretty much where it is and not moving, are these anything to be concerned about as I'm starting to worry about CC.

Nothing at all to worry about Vicci. Remember, your breasts go on healing till up to one year post-op, so although everything looks great on the outside, on the inside your boobs are still working away to repair themselves.

Your sensitive nipple is nerves healing, the sensitivity is a good sign and all sensation is returning to the nipple, I know it's not a nice feeling but it will settle babe yes I used to use the round little make-up pads over the nipple to help ease this as the nipple brushing over the bra material would drive me mad, but the soft cotton did help, others I know prefer to use breast feeding nipple pads.

The itchy scar, is the scar still healing too, when massaging oil or moisturiser into your scars, use a firm circular motion to help break down all of the scar tissue, as it breaks down the itching sensation will go lovely.

One breast falling to the side, is just your having one breast healing faster than the other and gaining a more natural movement, when the other catches up babe, it too will follow and fall as a natural breast will. xx

I agree with cookie totally. Sometimes it can take the full 12 months or longer for sensations to return to normal. Itching is a good sign of healing, so your scar is still on the mend.

My nipples were a mix of painful and numb for a year after my 1st BA. Luckily they've received back to normal ish soon after this BA. It's normal x
