Re: 5days till consultation :-D
You see a Patient Care Co-ordinator hunni
who is someone with no medical qualification, who is just paid to sell you a product. They can be a little pushy so be wary of that (never book on the day!!!)
You then book with the PCC to see a surgeon. I would ask them for the list of surgeon's they have in your area, go away and research the surgeons and if you want to book to see one of them for a consultation then you ring the PCC xxx

This is really handy to print off and take with you the consultation as well, it feels a bit like you're interviewing the PCC/surgeon but it means you can make an informed decision rather than getting rushed into booking something (some of theses PCC's and even nurses that you see could sell anything!!!)x

Re: 5days till consultation :-D
If you'd like to maybe bypass a patient co-ordinator babe, who as Wishful quite rightly said is there to sell a product and has no mediacl training and just see a surgeon you could always call the clinic and request for this.
If you do go to see a patient co-ordinator, they go through the procedure you're interested in with you and the costs of the procedure and will make you feel very special. They may even make you a financial offer to book your surgery, but NEVER agree hun, it's just to lure you in, the offer are ALWAYS there and it's always best to come home and digest any information given to you, even from a surgeon and running the surgery plan by us maybe if you're confused, or to just jot it down to save to be able to compare with at least one other consultation you'll have.
Having more than one consultation with a surgeon, will help you decide which surgery plan is the best for you and also which surgeon you feel most comfortable with, so this will be an important part of your pre-BA process hun. Excitement often makes us women rush in and book out of that, but myself and a other women besides me who have done this have lived to regret that day, so from experience, I'm suggesting you take your time lovely, listen only to surgeons, gather as much info and you can and only then, when you're confident you have done as much as YOU can should you book babe.
Have fun though when you go and do please let us know how you get on  xx

Re: 5days till consultation :-D
MyBreast's policy is actually that you see a surgeon from your first appointment, which is one of the reasons I chose to see them first. I had my consultation with Adam Topping. He went through my medical questionnaire, checked and measured my breasts, discussed the rough size and shape I wanted, and tried on some different implant sizes in a sports bra. He also went through the potential complications and the likelihood of any of them happening.
The things he didn't really cover were - the aftercare policy, as this is providedo by MyBreast themselves and so you discuss this with your personal PC - when they sent you your booking email/receipt they should have assigned you your advisor and given you their email and phone number.
He also didn't show me any pictures - he said this was because he thinks that unless the person in the picture has the exact same anatomy as you the results do not hold enough correlation to be worthwhile. If it was a lesser known company this would probably have made me a bit wary. However as he is an NHS registered surgeon with a placement at King Cross and has been on tv several times I figured if he's butchered anyone (sorry I'm not meaning to sound blase

Ugh, stupid phone posted as I was still trying to edit! I wanted to say that if he'd ever performed many bad surgeries (I didn't want to use the term 'butchered', I was trying to edit it as my bloomin' phone posted! So sorry if anyone is offended.. I'm tired and not fully brain functioning!) Then I thought it would have come out publicly by now.
He said he always performs two consultations before surgery so I have my second appointment on the 31st to discuss the exact size and profile I want and to go over any other details.

I agree with his view on pictures and I and our mods here try very hard to get women wanting to see pictures thinking it will help them with their sizing fears feel better, when actually, the pictures are useless to anyone else but the person they're for. Unless of course you're wanting a specific surgeon and wanting to see how his results are, then and only for that reason do I personally think pictures are of any use to another woman.
Now, in saying that, I can't see any reason why Mr Topping wouldn't want to show off his work, not for you to compare with for your own result, but just to see that he gets good results, if you understand what I'm saying....
Also don't just assume that a because a surgeon works for the NHS or because he's been on TV that this confirms they're excellence, just recently a surgeon who did quite a bit of TV work was suspended from doing any form of surgery by the GMC babe, so don't take anything for granted lovely and do if you can always get another consultation with another surgeon, just so you have another surgery plan to compare with before making your final decision, I'm not saying anything bad of Mr Topping, just advising to enable you to get the best from your decision making. xx

Re: 5days till consultation :-D
MyBreast don't supply a sports bra but Mr Topping recommended the Macom and the discount code 'MyBreast' gets you 15% off. I don't know about THG.
Cookie, I think I will ask him for some examples of his work when I see him again. I was quite comfortable with him when I saw him - he seemed fairly no nonsense but not brusque - and I know a few of the girls here have had him but I definitely want to be sure!
