Re: Painkillers
I took mine for about 9 days as I struggled much more with this B A. than the 1st one, probably because I had c c so the op was a bit more intrusive. Problem with some painkillers is the dreaded constipation which most of us have firstly by the G A. xx

Re: Painkillers
My first BA, I just took paracetamol by day 3.
Like Lucky my 2nd I really struggled, but also like Lucky had a much more invasive surgery, so stayed on the heavy meds for 5 days, then just dropped to parecemol of a day and the heavy pain killers for bedtime.
If you feel you don't 'need' the pain killers, it's best to not take them. You feel so much more like your old self once you stop taking those. xx

Re: Painkillers
Mine is high I think. But there is nothing wrong with having to take painkillers if your threshold is low, why be in pain if you dont need to be hun?.At the end of the day the pain wont last for too long anyway xx

Re: Painkillers
I think my pain threshold is sort of middling (haven't had kids to know extreme pain!)
I still feel like I need them to be honest, might start dropping to one codeine instead of two.
Haha telle about it I actually had to eat 200g of dried apricots last night! My belly was sticking out nearly as much as my boobs!x

Re: Painkillers
I loved labour and only had gas and air so I'm hoping that means mine is high. We will soon see... xx

Re: Painkillers
I had no painkillers either with all 4 of my babies ,just a whiff of the gas, so my guess is you are going to do just fine. Its way less painful than having a baby, for sure xxx

It would be best if you didn't psych yourself up for pain post-BA babe, you're only going to get yourself all in a tiz worrying about your pain levels when really lovely, you're going to HONESTLY feel more discomfort than pain and there wont be anything at all you wont be able to control. Between your painkillers and ice packs, everything you'll experience is manageable. So try and put 'pain' out of your head lovely, enjoy the rest the build up to your BA, then afterwards, take YOUR BA experience a day at a time hun, taking pain med when/if you need them - You're gonna be just fine bouncy, so focus on the 'discomfort' you 'will' experience, rather than the 'pain' you 'think' you'll experience :flowers: xx
