Dilemma!!!!
I have had two consultations with different surgeons at different clinics.
I am mildly tuberous, 36a (been wearing the wrong bra size for ever!)
One PS suggested a benelli lift, 360 Hp unders.
(with my broad chest, font think I'll suit HP)
The other wanted to avoid a lift, make a low pocket to lower my Brest crease so that the implant would sit lower and give me the look of lower breast tissue that I am lacking.
To use MP 420 overs.
I scar badly, and would love to avoid additional scars but obviously don't want to part with 4.5k and end up with boobs sitting low!
Trying to research as much as possible, and have booked in to see a third surgeon to see if I can get done kind of general consensus of what is right for me.
Just wanted to know if any ladies have not had a lift and regretted it, or had a low pocket to create more of a lower pole??
I am so unbrlieveably confused as to which way to go!!!!!

Re: Dilemma!!!!
Aw what a dilemma hun xx
I'm really sorry but I can't really help on this one Just wanted to say good luck with your choice xx
I don't think it will hurt to get a third opinion as this may be the deciding one for you Maybe a specialist in tuberous surgery xx
From my point of view, I tried to avoid too much scarring and have ended up with it anyways xx perhaps if the PS had been honest with me and done an anchor lift first time round i wouldn't have had to have 2 further ops

Re: Dilemma!!!!
I'm afraid I can't help you, but I just wanted to say you're doing the right thing getting a third opinion. Just make sure the surgeon you choose has plenty of experience with tuberous correction and not only with straightforwards ba's xxx

Re: Dilemma!!!!
I agree, see someone who deals with this all the time as (I think) it's not just shape they have to correct - there's tight ligaments hanging around somewhere too
Maybe you could ask one of the surgeons on here?
To be honest, (and i really dont know this is just how i think) but just putting an implant under a tuberous breast, would just be a tuberous breast over an implant (if you see what i mean) but if it's only mild then maybe that is fine... good luck!

Re: Dilemma!!!!
The 3rd consultation you've arranged is a very sensible one sweetheart It's wise not to rush into surgery and gather as much information as you are before making a decision. The 3rd I think will help with that.
I don't have tuberous breast, but I have had an uplift babe and NO, not one single day do I ever regret the scarring. Intact for the most part 2 years on, the scars are barely visible and nothing I regret whatsoever.
Don't be afraid of additional scars Wishful, if that's what it's going to take to get you your dream boobs, then worry not. You'll be just fine xx

Re: Dilemma!!!!
Thank you ladies!!! My head is battered with this! The boy is sick of hearing about boobs so he's not much use I'm afraid!
Third consult is with Mr Alvi at Sthetix, not sure on his experience with tuberous breasts but think I'll email the PCC to see if they can get any photos of lifts and if possible tuberous before and afters for me to see at my consult.x

Re: Dilemma!!!!
hi wishfull
I have very very minor tubular breasts also i went to see him & he told me he deals with them quite alot. Think prob because he's a Breast Reconstruction in the Nhs. Iv been to so many consultations (5) & got given diffent opinions of what way they wanted to go Over/Unders.. and lowering of the crease its very confusing to know whats best for you . Its better to make sure your surgeon has lots of experience. Usually Breast specialists/reconstruction. Try and search on the net to try and find any before/after photos that may look like yours so you can see what other people have done x

Re: Dilemma!!!!
well when i was new to all this didnt go for tubular experience i just saw surgeons i heard that were popular. I think the more i researched i realised mine where very minor, altho bad enough for me! i have the tissue/areola Hernation, At first i wanted & thought i needed areola surgery to correct my breasts so thats what i went in with.. i started to realise i may not need this, still very worrying though!
Heres my list hun - from what i remember
1st Mr madhi transform - 280 unders, would do areola surgery if i wanted to correct.
2 Mr Traynor mya- 280 Unders - point refused areola surgery (kind of liked that honesty)
3 Mr clark transform - 295 Overs & crease lowering said 80% chance i would be happy with out areola surgery
4 My Liew my breast - overs
5 Alvi - Unders i have to decide size - 280 or 300cc .
I do know of a PS specialist but its in bradford hun prob a bit far one reason i didnt go! Mr foo i believe i spoke to him on the phone one day :)

I am hoping to book with him though yes, i refuse to search any more LOL .. i think if you see to many people you confuse your self with all the options & its very off putting sure did with me! x

Re: Dilemma!!!!
Thanks flower that's very informative! I see Mr Liew said overs and the rest said unders, weird how they differ isn't it. I have also seen him and Mr Mahdi. What was it that made u want to see Mr Alvi again?

Re: Dilemma!!!!
Hey :)
As much as I am pleased with my results, I too am tuberous and it's still pretty obvious as I had a straight forward BA. If I knew then what I know now, I would have done more research to find a surgeon who could correct me, as I still have the puffy nipples and between my boobs is still a little taught (sp?). I just think it's a kit of money hun and you want to be 100% happy with the finished results.
As far as scars are concerned think you'll have them to some extent either way, mine are above my boob crease (not that I have one...yet!) but I know you're being really thoughtful about it so you'll do right for you x

Re: Dilemma!!!!
Really because hes BAPS, BAAPS registered & in breast reconstruction none of the others are apart from my liew . He just seemed to tick all the boxes in that area. I did like a few of the other surgeons but different things put me off eg. the company.
Hi **naughty word** cat im a little worried about my puffy areola .. did you find they went more puffy after the BA do you have any photo albums i could take a peek at ? x

Re: Dilemma!!!!
Lol my name comes up at **naughty word** cat!
Hiya lovely, I will try and upload some onto my picture trail but I only have Internet on my phone atm so it might not let me.
I was about the most tuberous you could get pre ba - my boobs were so undeveloped they looked really deformed. I was all nipple and I didn't know there was such a condition until I came on here, my ps didn't even mention it until he was drawing on me before my op!
Anyway to be honest I'm just glad I have boobs, but like I said it's alot of money so although I'm satisfied, if I could go back I'd probably get it done with a surgeon that could have reconstructed me.
I still have puffy nipples, in all honestly I'd feel weird without them now lol. They don't really bother me anymore, but it's the skin between my boobs is a bit taut and I would have loved that to have been fixed.
I'll try and sort some before and after pics for you to look at :)
