Sticky scar
I had my dressings off yesterday, all looks ok but the edge of one scar seemed to be slightly stuck to my bra this morning. Trying not to freak myself out about that but any suggestions what I can put there for now as I don't want this to happen again. The bra doesn't touch my scars other than when I was asleep.
Also I've been told to wear my binder for two more weeks until I go back to see the nurse and been told to massage as she said my implants are still very firm.
Other than that all good. I'm over the mood with my babies xx

Re: Sticky scar
Hi hun,one of mine did that so I asked my sister is a staff nurse and she said to clean it with a sterile wipe and put a steristrip on for a couple of days to help prevent infection. I did this and all was ok. The nurse at the po check up had said if i felt it wasnt quite healed enough to do this too. I think it better to minimise the risk of infection if possible. Hope this helps. I was interested to hear you are massaging already. All P S s seem to have there own ideas. I was told I could massage if I wanted to but def not til after 6 weeks. x PS love your avi X

Re: Sticky scar
FRESH AIR! Best healing remedy out there!
Ensure after showering you're completely drying your scars. Use a hair dryer on a cool setting after towel patting the area to make sure all is dry. Then open the bedroom windows, lay on your back exposing the scars to the fresh air and just give them a little time getting that fresh air to them. It works wonders!
If you think the band of your bra might be causing some irritation, a panty liner, sticky side against the bra will help create a cushion to stop this. If you feel you need more cushioning, then use a sanitary towel babe.
Hope it clears up soon sweetie. Xx

Re: Sticky scar
Yes I will. I've just put some gauze on so my bra doesn't rub x

Re: Sticky scar
I saw the nurse this afternoon. She said everything was fine. She said it looks a little red but that was from rubbing on my bra. She's put some stuff on, can't remember what it's called but it feels spongy. She said that it will protect the scar but will also allow the wound to breath. Apparently they use it for ulcers etc. Anyway, glad it was ok cos I did worry this morning x

Re: Sticky scar
That's good news hun.. The panty liner/sanitary towel really will help with rubbing/irritation from your bra babe. Might be worthwhile adding that little cushion if you know it's your bra causing the problem. xxx
