Alexis you were right I got no call back. I'll be ringing up in the morning to speak to Julie. I mainly wanna know why it got left so late!
And yeah surely my surgeon couldve spoken to my gp on the phone or something?
My boyfriend has been lovely tonight we've been out to buy stuff for tea and gonna have a cosy night stuffing our faces and cuddling lol. Dunno what i'd do without him, probably still sobbing in my bed!!!

I'm so sorry your op has been postponed. I know how you feel. All you can do is keep your chin up. My op was postponed 6 weeks and here I am again, so the time will fly by. I hope you soon get it sorted and be able to book your op again xxx

Oh no that's awful! :( the day before your op?! There is just no excuse for that at all, I'm shocked! I've also had depression/anxiety. Took anti D's in 2009, had 6 weeks of counselling in 2011, but the surgeon or nurse didn't mention when they were looking through my file for any "problems/issues". Hm I dunno whether to worry about it now?! I'm so shocked, can't imagine how you must feel :( x

I had no idea it would even affect my surgery. Makes it all the more upsetting that something that was hard to get through is still stopping me from doing the things I want to in life. Here's hoping tomorrow brings some answers xx

sorry to hear about ur op being cancelled! its a shame cos i dont think you even have to mention it to your doctor if you dont want! My doctor has never even been mentioned! You could always get a refund, book in with sum1 else and dont mention your doctor next time! It would prob be quicker than waitin around for a second date. Unless Mr Russo is the only perosn you want of course! xxx

To be fair Laura, considering how many times MYA has messed you around with appointments maybe while you don't know what's going on you could research surgeons from other companies? Will keep things positive and prepare you incase MYA try to postpone it longer than suits you. Either way you have the money towards your BA, and MYA owe you that. :thumbs: x

Oh Laura, Im absolutely gutted for you.

It is an utter disgrace that they have decided to leave this to the last minute, literally and not even give you the decency to call you back.

I would be absolutely raging and I tell you what give them what for, yes it is true, they are doing the right thing by checking your past, Dr's notes etc, but with 24 hours to go?! I dont think so.

I really hope you get this sorted ASAP chick.

That's true actually that MYA have always messed my appointments about from day 1 and never given me an apology.
Today I text my patient coordinator and rang her with no luck. I rang the clinic and was told she's not in today even though they said that yesterday. So I've been told yet again that the nurse will call me back when she's done with a patient.
My PCC always told me I could text or ring her at any time and she will always be there to talk to me, what a load of crap.
If I have to wait a while for another op date that's just ridiculous cause surely I should be put first and booked in asap. GRRRRR!xx

why doont you ring up the clinic again and say you would like to speak to a manager? you deserve answers chick. its not fair at all.xx

Read my diary sweetheart, it seems common practice for the larger commercial clinics to put you right to the back of their 'to do' lists once they have your money!

If you get no joy from calling hun, write a letter informing them of your situation and intentions. Also send it by recorded delivery too so you have proof of receipt sweetheart. They can't ignore that.

Aww thats so rubbish, feel sad for you sweet. Just read through this post - Im mean I know they have to be careful but have any of them considered what this is doing to you right now? Its a proper disgrace they are not getting back to you when promised.

Its good that they check your past but certainly not with 24 hours to go! Miserable bleepers! Like the others have said - chin up - you have this lot of fine ladies on here to help you through it - and you will get there soon.

I understand what you say about feeling like walking away but try to be strong. You are taking good care of your health in a very positive way - you have advised them you are taking citalopram - because you are looking after you and know that you need this little help. Depression is so common these days - its not such a bad thing. Argh!!! makes me angry that they are being so utterly thoughtless and a little bit cruel I think not getting back in touch when promised - they are the ones that have flagged up a 'problem' as they see it - really helping arnt they!

My pcc just rang me back she was reassuring and kept asking if I'm ok.. I was completely honest with her and said Ive been in tears quite a bit etc. I do appreciate her calling me when she's not at work, she wouldn't have known about it yesterday so the first thing she knew of it was probably my text message. She said shes going to ring the clinic to get filled in on what's happened and call me back. xx

Ok apparantly what happens now is my pcc, the nurse and mr russo will talk in person on friday when he is next at the Newcastle clinic. So for me its another waiting game until then :( I havent yet got to speak to anyone about being reimbursed for the hotel etc but I will be highlighting that asap. boohoo!!
I wouldve thought having depression in the past and my records saying that im a lot better shows im working towards improving how I feel about myself? deary me!
