Getting Measured in the NW?
Ladies who've been measured recently in the North West, where did you go and would you recommend them?
I've been shopping at the Trafford Centre today & tried on a 38C Shock Absorber in Debs. The woman said it wasn't right & ended up fitting me in a 34E!
I didn't buy it, I felt like I couldn't breathe the band was that tight and my skin was bulging all around - she said it was fine!
I want somewhere I can go that's going to get it right, especially if I'm going to be spending a lot of money on bras in the next few weeks.

Re: Getting Measured in the NW?
I know for definate there's a Bravissimo in Liverpool and I'm sure Manchester being a big city centre they'd have one there too. I'd suggest they'd be the best place to go to be fitted after your recovery hun as they are a specialist lingerie shop, unlike those in the department stores. You can also make an appointment to go and be fitted to and you're under no obligation to buy. xx
Re: Getting Measured in the NW?
Thanks Cookie! I do go to Liverpool every month or so, so now have a good excuse to go shopping in a few weeks after my 6 week check! Where abouts is it?

Re: Getting Measured in the NW?
It's actually in the city centre itself hun on Bold Street.
Here's the address and number for when you're ready to go Oracle... Take your credit card 'cos I very much doubt you'll leave without some gorgeous sets to go home with.
8 Bold Street Liverpool L1 4DS. 0151-702 8510
I just bought 3 lovely sets to begin with as there is always the possibility of fluffing beyond the 6 week post-op mark, so I bought, a black, a white and a nude set so I had something to wear with everything. Hope that helps gorgeous. xx

Re: Getting Measured in the NW?
I worked in Debenhams as a bra fitter, we were trained to measure around the back and have it tight on the lowest hook. If we could pull it away from the back we were told to advise it wasnt tight enough... Probably why it felt tight! I've never followed such advise on myf though, I'd end up with more back and side boob than actual boob :heehee: x

Thats exactly what I'm hoping to do Cookie. I think I know where the store is - I'm sure its where Warehouse and Kookai used to be (tell me a clothes shop and I know where it is - didnt often shop in underwear shops hence the reason I dont know where they are) I'm sure this will change in the coming months!

Thats what she kept doing Alice, pulling the back out & knocking me off my feet each time she did it!
