Worrying about size...AGAIN Empty Worrying about size...AGAIN

Post by *Alice* 21st April 2012, 10:45 am

My op is next Saturday with Transform and now I'm wishing I'd chosen a larger size.

I went to the clinic yesterday to see the pre op nurse and they let me try the implants on again and they didn't feel at all as big as I remember :( the surgeon wasn't there so I didn't have a chance to speak to him about my concerns so now I'm not sure what to do!

Originally I chose the 365cc with Mr Meleagross and he said that size wouldn't be a problem with my frame etc, the surgeon I'm going with said I may find I struggle to fit it on one side. So there's a chance that the 365cc is the biggest I can go anyway. But if it was possible I'd really want the next size up atleast as I sneakily tried that in while I was in there.

Now I don't know what to do! I think it would be too late to see Mr Clarke again, do I ring my PCC or the hospital and ask them to speak to him/have 410's at Abby pines in case he can fit them? I don't want to be annoying or the worst patient ever and make things difficult so close to my op date!

I think this is what my nerves are focussing on, as I'm not yet nervous about the actual op just the results!!

Any advice would be welcomed please :( xx

I know what you mean about dithering between sizes. I was leaning towards 410 and now im thinking 380 argh!! I would definately speak up about wanting to see about the 410 to your PCC and see what they say. Better to ask than to leave it for fear of messing anyone about cause its really important you get what you want. They should be understanding and give you professional advice :) xx

I'd keep it as it is if he's suggested that. Think it's last minute panic and boob greed! Lol! I've got 380's and pleased with size and am at least an E cup. Xxx

Post by *Alice* 21st April 2012, 11:22 am

What were you before then jay? I think it is partly boob greed, but I don't want to end up smaller on top. I have a small frame on top but I have wide hips and have junk in the trunk so I want to look well proportioned haha! Mr Clarke never saw me try the implants on, it was in my notes from my first consult.

Would they have them there available at the clinic anyway? Or do they have to be ordered? X

I was a c in one and d in big boob! But had tissue removed from big boob! Im big on hips and bum too but can say this size looks it better Proportion as with bigger implants i looked big all over...bug boobs, hips and bum so just big! Really knocked my confidence actually. Xxx

Yeah I wouldn't want to be massive on top I don't think I could pull it off. I'm only a 32A/B so will be having different sizes with the biggest implant in the smaller boob. I want to be about a D/DD but worry I'll end up a C shrug I do think half of it is just last min nerves, but trying on the implants again didn't help lol x

Post by roxanne 21st April 2012, 11:48 am

I would go with what you PS recommends. I do think some surgeons prefer big sizes more than others do. But I also think that you chose him for a reason, and so should put your trust in him. Sure he may be able to squeeze bigger in there, but at what cost? More rippling, more visible implant edges, heavier feel? There's always a trade off, which is more important to you?

Ahh that's so true Roxanne, plus it would be more important to have a really good looking pair than pay the price for looking bigger under clothes!x

Hey Altw, i was a small 34a 32b and had 320cc anatomical unders...i bought a bra from matalan this week...32dd!!!! I really cant see that you will be a c cup with 365s....have u seen my pics? If not, let me know and I'll give you the log in details. Someone mentioned on here that the bigger you go it is more difficult to find or afford really lovely bras....plus my boobs werent deflated, just small, so squeezing in the 320s was more than enough for me...I wouldnt want any more stretch!! Of course, it all depends on what you are wanting to achieve xx

Post by *Alice* 21st April 2012, 12:25 pm

Can I see your pics please Nepoly? :)

I know what you mean, I wouldn't really want to be anything more than a DD, I worked as a bra fitter in Debenhams and girls with big boobs really don't get the best bras without shopping around! I used to have to send them to Bravissimo! I struggle as it is to wear beautiful bras as nothing fits both boobs, so that's hopefully going to be half of the joy of having a BA when I see nice lingerie and can wear it!

I want to look natural but in proportion, and as big as I can go without looking top heavy or fake... So it would probably be a fine line if I chose any bigger! X

Worrying about size...AGAIN Empty Re: Worrying about size...AGAIN

Post by mariaelaina 21st April 2012, 1:11 pm

I'm not sure if this would be helpful to you as I'm not using Transform, but at my sizing I was told that even though I've picked my size there'll be the size below and the size above also available at my op (partly because I have one boob bigger than the other so he'd need to decide whether to make one bigger or one smaller - which could be the same for you if you're two different sizes?). I was told my surgeon will put the sizer in and see which he feel would be best out of the 3, knowing my preference.

But as I say it may not be the same with your surgeon. If you're having doubts its always best to ring up and check, this is a really big decision! :)

I'm not sure what my surgeon is going to do, originally I tried on diff sized implants and found that the 310 and 365 balanced out but he said not to worry as he will sort that for me when I'm under. I might ring up to see, or just ask him on the day :) x

Hey Alice!

I just thought i'd tell you that I have 375cc (well 350 in left) and I told my PS that i would like to be a DD at the most so I think - even though everyone is different - that you will achieve this with what you have been trying. I asked for natural looking boobs but a nice size. Are you having unders? x

Hey loobs, this is all good to hear! It's so hard to predict everyone is so different! What were your starting stats? How are you feeling so soon after?:)

I always expected unders but my PS told me it would be too risky because I have slightly inverted ribs on one side.... So I could have ended up with a boob stuck in the middle of my chest! So having overs :) x

Ah yes I remember you have said that before about your ribs. Well I'm broad shouldered but size 10 top, 8 waist and 12-14 on the bottom! Nightmare haha! I was supposed to be having unders but ended up with overs so aparantly with unders sometimes you loose some volume so you will be good with overs :) its normal to be worried I think, in the last week and up until the day I was questioning it but I voiced my concerns to PS and hopefully will get a good result. Well I am in a bit of discomfort at the moment. Drinking lots of water! Xx

Sounds like clothes shopping must be annoying hah! How come you ended up with overs? I guess I just have to put a lid on it, my boobs suck right now so have to remember any improvement is an improvement and not get too greedy haha.x

Omg soooo annoying! Have gone as far as getting a dress made to measure! Even buy size 14 dresses and have them taken in everywhere to fit ha! Well he measured me again and said he thought he would get away with overs and said hed try during surgery. And when I came out he said that hed put them under membrane but not under my muscle...to be honest this info is abit wishy washy because it was about an hour after surgery! X

Hi Hun

I had 335 and 365cc from a 34b and Im now measuring a 34dd/32e. My stats are: 5'2" 9 stone

You could always ask them to bring the larger implant too as you'll get to speak to your surgeon the morning of your op.

Good Luck x

Post by Aurora1979 23rd April 2012, 5:08 pm

I would ring and speak to them asap. It sounds like you are having perfectly normal emotions about the size etc.

I was offered 460s and 525s and it was marked on my file that I had chosen 460s but on the day I asked if the 525s would fit and he said yes no problem so I went with those - I know the sizes are bigger than you mention but my point is I changed my mind on the day of surgery - that said I went through Transform so they may work in different ways.

Definitely trust your surgeon's opinion and make sure you voice your concerns now - you are paying a lot of money and you want to be sure.
