Unders and band across the top!
Hi ladies
Just a quick question has any 1 had unders with a band that goes around the top part of your boobs, i was expecting a bra but i only have a band across the top, has any 1 else had this? does it affect the shape or push them down wards i dont want flat long boobs ha-ha .
Also suprisingly i have had unders i expected lots of pain - but nothing im not complaining at all its fab, just discomfort really! xx

Re: Unders and band across the top!
Hi Pinkdaisy2012, My ps has told me that i will be using that band for the first couple of weeks, he said it was to help them drop...
Im surprised you had no pain, fingers crossed I'll be like that. Good luck on the rest of your recovery!

Glad your feeling well pinkdaisy!!! I had the band on for a few hours in the hospital but then it was taken off and a bra put on i think its to keep them in place ,,,,,,you dont want them to pop onto your shoulders !! xxx

My friend had unders and was told to keep the band on to help them drop and look more natural. She was also told to wear sports bras. (This is all from what she told me, sorry I don't have first hand experience) x

Re: Unders and band across the top!
The band is to help keep your new boobs as stable and in position as possible, it's firmer than a sports bra and therefore holds the breasts into position more tightly... A lot of women wear bands post-op babe, some with a bra, some without, it all depends on what your surgeon feels will give you the best results post-op. xx

Re: Unders and band across the top!
im gonna be having unders and wearing a band for a couple of weeks. am worried about how high up the band will be cause i only have one uniform dress for work so far (recently started and dont have more uniform allowance yet) and its like a low cut dress! I work in Oasis.Dunno how i'm gonna disguise this lol x

Re: Unders and band across the top!
Hi pinkdaisy, I had the exact same thing as you :o) I had round unders and woke up from the surgery wearing a strap. I had to wear it for a few weeks after the surgery and just the strap, no bra. In fact the clothes used to bother me when they rubbed against my nipples so I used to wear a light fitted top under clothes. The strap was strenuous on my back and neck and it took me a while before I got my posture back. You will feel much better once you're "freed" from the strap hehe.

Re: Unders and band across the top!
This is kinda wierd ha ha
some people have to do some dont... so at the
end we r not sure what is wright and what isnt.
my surgeon was always like I dont like that...,
I dont like using this..., etc
Anyway by the end of the day we all should
listen our surgeons cuz they look after us post
op. and everyone is different. My said that he didnnt
also like using drains but didnt have to anyway
cuz I did not bleed at all...

To confuse matters further, I had unders, with the same surgeon as you, yet had a band for a week!
